I don't know why but after I got married I still had the Big Bed and the single bed. After I purchased the Big Bed I still had both all the way through until I got married. Is there a way to get rid of the single bed?

No, the big bed is for your spouse and your child, you still remain in the single bed and it's not supposed to go. Otherwise your character might find it difficult sleeping hehe
Your first bed that you always sleep on before you get married is for your child after you get married!
There Is No Way To Get Rid Of The Small Bed,You Need It For Your Child.
Well, you NEED the big bed, unless if you want your husband sleep on the floor(joke!!!).
You'll be sleeping on the single bed while your child and husband will be sleeping on the big bed.
Oh and, plus, it's a requirement for marriage.
