how do I get ore?

I know I get ore from the mine to upgrade my tools...but I have been digging and digging and I cannot get anything but jewelry or lotion, etc. Please help.

This isn't the mine that you recive ore from, there are four different mines you can unlock to find different things, in prder to unlock one you must reach the bottom of the one you had recently opened. I can't really remember how you open the first one by try going into the mine form 5 till 9 and you must have your hammer equipped, You will trigger an event which allows you to find the hidden pathway to the first mine

OK first you must talk to carter just once. Next, you must go to the mine like as soon as you wake up or really late at night when no one's there (this is for the first mine) Make sure you have your hammer equipped and this will trigger an event. Carter will tell you he thinks there is a cave somewhere and tell you to hit the wall beside him wiyth your hammer. You will do this automaticly and the first mine will be open. To open the others, you must reach the last floor of them mine before them (i.e. 10th [I think] floor of the first mine, 225th floor of the second, etc) and always make sure you go with your hammer equipped and either at like 7:00am or like 12:00am. I think you have to get mystic ore.but thats only a guess.or you can googe the answer.otherwise we're going nowhere.hoped i helped a lil' bit!

You must get to bottom of the second mine and kill all animals and break all rocks(i think)and you will get a weapon called legendary sword and use it to break the rocks and DO NOT PRESS Y,PRESS A to break the rocks.I hope i help you.
