I have upgraded my fishing rod up to mystryle level but I have never caught a single medium or large fish and I use my fishing rod reguarly while I am waiting for skye, what else do I need to do in order to catch medium and large fish??

The only thing I can think of is are you holding down the Y button? You can also get rare fish at the island that you can get on the first day of a month if you have enough gs. Hope I helped^^
