The easiest way to grow really large crops is to have a mystrille watering can (or mythic) and then you can water several squares at the same time (about 300!)
You can also hire the sprites to farm for you... They will pick everything that is ready. They will also water.
The Mythic or mystrille hoe will also till several squares at one time as well.
