Adamantite is found in the third mine, which you can access by getting down to the very bottom floor (255) of the second mine. You won't find a lot of adamantite in one go, I have found at most two in one trip. And you need to be careful because you can drop hundreds of floors at a time and it drains your Stam/Fat.
You need to have your home fully upgraded - upgrades 1, 2, restroom, bathroom, kitchen and all appliances, refrigerator, shelf, table.... Etc. I don't think you need a basement. Also the big bed. You will have to get a blue feather from Karen's shop to propose. Some more information would be helpful in narrowing the advice to be more useful.
