Why am I having so much trouble with Celia's yellow heart event. Her heart is at orange/red. I go into the bar after 4 and before 6. I still give her presents everyday. But can not get the heart event activated.

I haven't played this game in ages, but for some reason I think you need to be at that exact heart level to proceed to that heart even. Which, in your case, means you need to downgrade back to yellow.
However, I haven't played this game in years, so I'm not entirely sure if that is correct. You can check the forum for this game for further information. If I'm incorrect I am terribly sorry for making you go back down to yellow.
