How do I go and visit another town because a harvest sprite says I can't go till my work is done. What does it mean?

You can never visit the town, it just won't let you.

You have to have rescued the harvest goddes and got married to one of the girls

YOu will never be able to see the town because your work will never be done, even if you finish the game

I'm not sure but I think if you have the game Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town for Gameboy Advanced, you can but it in the other slot in your DS and then it will let you go to Mineral Town.
