I seem to be having a problem with the effectiveness of my tool upgrades.
How long am I supposed to keep hammering or chopping away at large stones or tree stumps before they break up? I go at it constantly until a skull is shown over my head for days and still nothing happens.
I have upgraded my tool, but have skipped the copper upgrade and gone straight for the silver. Is this the problem?

You have to hold down the button until your players face turns red if you just keep on hitting the stones/branches like the normal small ones you'll just be wasting energy.
