The Perfect Farm

I'm new to Harvest Moon DS and I'm wondering, is there a perfect farm? I have started and restarted making my fences. How big should I make each cow pen? Where shouldI put my duck pond? HELP ME!!!!!!!!

There is absolutely no perfect farm. Nothing is perfect. It all depends on what you want it to be like. A cow pen should be made all the way around the total number of barns you build. The duck pond can be somewhere near the chicken coops. You can put your chickens outside to make them happy but not when it rains. The chickens do not need grass. Just make a pen around the chicken coops and let them stay outside along with the ducks.

It's personal preference. I personally like to have the fence around my barns ect. So if I do let out my animals they wont escape outside the area I want.
I have grass inside so it's all snug. Smile
I also have my pond inside too. But it's up to you, whatever you like!

Oh and have a small area for crops and a tree area. Then it'll look neat and tidy!

There is not a perfect farm but I keep my garden all neat and tidy and have built everything. Put the duck pond beside the chicken pen so when you put the fence around it the ducks can be with the chickens. Put the fence for the cows around the sheep and cow barns so they can have lots of room to roam about.
