Question for Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Hi everybody.I have been playing this game for a while and I was wondering how I can get into Richter mode or the Sisters mode.It said you have to beat the whip's memory and dracula.Ive beaten the whip's memory and dracula 2 times already.What is suppose to happen when I do the correct thing to get those modes? What did I do wrong? Is there something else to it exept those 2 things?If someone would answer those questions, I would appreciate it a lot.
