Question for Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

How can I flip the switch to ride in the cart on the tracks------that drills the wall? I've tried everything?

Make one of your character stay in cart and then have other one hit the switch with attack type and switch to one who are staying in cart it will go though every to other side of it

You call the second character to stay in the cart, go to the switch with the other character and activate it, then quickly switch to using the character you left in the cart.
