No new bugs
I came back after not playing and now there's roaches in the trees and no new bugs. How do I get the new bugs instead.

This is just a case of bad luck. New Bugs will appear in due time, but ways you can make them appear faster are:
- Scare off all the cockroaches you see; this leaves space for other Bugs to appear
- Catch the roaches and sell them for 5 bells each; has the same effect as the above method but gives a small profit and takes longer
- Go into a building and back outside again; this refreshes all screens, meaning different Bugs may be on the trees
