Spotlight Items
I have owned this game for 6 months, played it everyday and there has not been 1 spotlight item in Tom Nooks. My store is Nookingtons, no-one apart from me is in my town and I have 580 membership points.
My question is: How do I get a spotlight item?

You can only get spotlight items if you make another character.

Spotlight Items appear randomly in the store and may take up to a year to get. My first Spotlight item was eight months into the game.

You should have seen at least one Item by now. All I can say is that you keep looking, and it is guarenteed that one will pop at sometime.

Spotlights take a year to get? Thats weird I got one yesturday an I only had it 3 dayz

Spolight Items accure atleast once or twice every two months ..fast forwarding the time may help increase the appearence of spotlight items.
...P.s: Spotlight items are everywhere around christmas time due to everyone buying presents (: hope I help
