                               I. Introduction
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Thanks for picking this FAQ to read. It's the best FAQ out of all the HM64
FAQs. Although this FAQ is smaller than most other complete HM64 FAQs, I will
concentrate on leading you to great fame, fortune, and a love life with tons
of pictures to remember them by. Not all those other things split into
different games. I will guide you through the difficult task of completing
everything within the third year, with time to spare.

This FAQ will also provide other information, such as character locations,
recipes, and power berries. I'll try my best to include everything. This guide
will contain many spoilers, so please be ready to be spoiled when reading this
guide. It may also contain some bad humor and minor language.

Town Information:

It's your farm. You can hold up to 8 cows/sheep in the barn and up to 6
chickens in the chicken coop. Your house is where you live. Write in your
diary to save.

------
Just a normal place. Sometimes people hang out here, usually they don't. Great
fishing spot though, if you're lucky you'll hook up a power berry.

Ann, her brother Gray, and their father live here. If you want to buy animals/
medicine, just come here. The shop is closed on Thursdays. Store hours: 8am-
5pm.

on their day off.

This is where Karen, her parents, and their mindless slave Kai work. Sadly,
the vineyard has not been successful for some time now. Maybe you can help
bring it back to its former glory?

The Flower Shop:

Lillia, Popuri, and Basil are usually here tending their store. They sell
seeds that you can plant and earn money. Their store hours are the standard

Saibara's Shop/Souvenir Shop:
-----------------------------
Saibara doesn't really have much to sell, but he'll get a couple of things as

Ocarina at some point in the game. Closed Sundays, open 9am-5pm.

-----------------
Rick is a lazy fellow. His shop opens his shop from 10am-6pm, but closes on

die, I don't think their name will be here though.

T = Tree Stump.

Fisherman's Tent:
-----------------
Serves no purpose. Supposed to be where the fisherman lives. It closes up in
winter. How swell.

Pond:
-----
Throw a big fish in here for a secret blue power berry and a chance to meet
Kappa. The pond also freezes over the Winter. You can use a golden hammer to
break the rock there for a power berry.

Bridge:
-------
Just a bridge. Leads you to the western half of Moon Mountain.

Goddess Pond:
-------------
Different music here. Throw a crop, milk, or egg into the pond to call out the
Goddess. Also, all 5 bachlorettes like to hang around here.

Carpenter's House:
------------------
The head carpenter and his two assistants are willing to upgrade your house by
building extensions for some gold and lumber. Open 8am-6pm, closed Tuesdays.
Sometimes the head carpenter will be an ass though and stand in front of his
door. When he does, you can't buy anything.

+--------------------------------------------------+
| Shop List        | Price      | Lumber Required  |

+--------------------------------------------------+

Secret Cave:
------------
The Harvest Sprites live here. You can also come mining here in the Winter.
Press A around the top wall and you should go into a secret room with more
Harvest Sprites!

Tree:
-----
I'll bet you're wondering why I have this in here. Simple, this is the only
tree you can climb! Press A and you will climb to an area you can't get to
until the bridge is built.

Springs:
--------
You can take a bath here. It recovers energy. This will be start to be built
on the 1st of Winter, year 1. After you build this though, the three tree
stumps around here will disappear.

Second Bridge:
--------------
This bridge will be built on Year 1, Fall 1st. This will enable you to walk
to the summit.

Full Moon Berry:
----------------
A secret berry that does, well, nothing. But it's a cool item to have. Just
go in front of the restaurant and press A in the trees between the 10th and
the 12th. Make sure you don't drop the berry!

Restaurant:
-----------
This houses a lonely couple that don't sell anything. No wonder they make no
money. Open 9am-5pm.

The Summit:
-----------
Well, this does nothing. You can watch the sky change on a boring day if you
want.

                         {2.3} Using Items and Tools
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

If you press start duing any part of game play, you will be brought up to the
item menu. There will be 3 sections. The top are your tools, the bottom are
your items, and the items on the right are your possesions. To select a tool,
all you have to do is press A twice on the tool you want to use. It will then
be moved to the very top. Now whenever you press B, you'll use that tool.

To use an item, do the same thing as a tool. Press A twice and it will appear
at the very top. Press B to exit the items menu and you'll be holding the
item. Make absolute sure you don't drop it! You can drop ANYTHING. Or at
least, waste them.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                       {2.4} Making Friends and Wooing
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Making friends is an important thing to do to complete HM64. Making friends is
easy in this game. I don't think anyone hates flowers in this game. Just pick
one up and make sure you're holding it in your hands. Now talk to the person
with the item. The person will say what they think about the item. Most of the
people in this game aren't picky, they'll like anything as long as it's not
junk like weed or something.

People do have favorites. Not everyone does though. Many people tell you that
the bachlorettes have favorites, but others can too. They'll just say
something different than the ordinary "Oh, thank you very much" quote.

Speaking of the bachlorettes, you'll have to marry one of them. Yes, it's a
requirement for a the party picture, meaning a perfect game. Girls you can
marry will have a heart on the bottom of their text box when you speak to
them. The color of the hearts show how much they like you. They go in order
of white, blue, green, yellow, and red. Red means they are ready to marry you,
go show them the blue feather!

To get their heart level to rise, give them gifts every day. It's best if you
give favorites, but normal items are OK too. Only give them a gift once a day,
give them more and their affection rate wont rise(Same goes for other folks
too.) You can show them animals as many times as you want. The animals the
girls like will cause their heart level to rise very little.

I find that when you talk to them at a festival, the girls' heart rates rise
faster than when talking to them normally, or even giving gifts. Make sure you
talk to them more than once as sometimes they have different things to say!
Once you become good friends with the girls, you may get several cutscenes
with them that indicate you're becoming better friends with them.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                             {2.5} Basic Farming
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Farming is pretty easy. When you start the game, you already have all the
tools you need to get a start. To plant seeds, you must buy them at the
Florist's shop. To start, equip the hoe. Use it on the soil to form a 3x3
patch of soil. It should look like this:

OOOOOOOOO
OXXXOOOOO
OXXXOOOOO
OXXXOOOOO

X = Tilled Soil
O = Untilled soil

Stand in the center of that square. Now equip your seeds and use them. The
seeds should go all around you. Your seeds will be constantly growing as long
as you water them. They will never dry out unless it is grown in the wrong
season.

Make sure you water your crops on sunny mornings. You don't have to when it's
raining. Equip your watering can and go to the small pool of water a little
farther than the chicken coop next to the barn. Press B with the watering can
next to the water and you're all set! Go back to your thirsty crops and press
B to feed them.

Sometimes, you won't be able to water the middle crop with your watering can.
That's OK. Just leave it. One crop won't make too much of a difference.

If you make a mistake and need to cut down your crop, just equip the sickle
and use it. If it's still a seed, use the hammer. The hammer will also make
tilled soil untilled again.

Grass is grown differently than crops though. You plant grass the same way,
but you never have to water it. The grass will grow on its own. You won't be
able to get rid of your grass unless it is fully grown or still a seed. Use
the sickle to cut down the fully grown grass, then the hoe to get rid of the
fresh grass. If the grass is still a seedling, just use the hammer like with
crops.

Flowers are grown just like crops.

To ship crops and other things that you gather from the mountains, you must
put them in the shipping bin. You know that weird, flat-barn-like thing right
in front of your house? Yeah, just drop everything in there. There's also one
in the Greenhouse(once you get it), the barn, and the chicken coop. When your
horse grows up, putting your stuff in it will do the same as the shipping bin.
You get your money every day at 5pm.

                         {2.6} Other Important Facts
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Some important facts:

1. Time stops indoors.

2. There are no wild dogs in the game.

3. Nobody comes out on a festival day, and no people appear when a cutscene
happens.

4. Sometimes, you will find red berries. These are Power Berries and they will
permanently increase your energy for the rest of the game.

5. If you give people certain items, they will give you recipes. These recipes
are required to recieve the party picture, but you can't actually cook them.

6. Pressing Write in Diary saves your game.

7. If you work too hard at night or in the rain, your forehead will start
turning black. Try not to work too hard. If you get sick, you miss one day of
work and your animals aren't fed. The girl who likes you most will come by and
lecture you.

8. The entertainment channel(Channel 4, C Left) does not work. Ever.

9. Time moves very fast in this game. A week can be covered in about an hour.

                              III. Walkthrough
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Here is the walkthrough for the game. Just to warn you, it is VERY hard to
follow the schedule that I have in store for you, but skilled should be able
to pull it off. We're going to use every single dirty trick to improve our
game to be the best it can be, without a GameShark of course. Actually, most
of these tricks aren't dirty, but anyway, I put in a lot of effort to make
the best walkthrough to get the best evaluation and Party Picture.

                                {3.1} Year 1
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

First, you will get to name yourself. Then you'll get to do your birthday.
Choose the season. It will always be on the 25th. Confirm that, then name your
farm. Confirm that, then the dog. Finally, confirm that and the game will
start.

==============================================================================
                                 (A) Spring
==============================================================================

During your first Spring, there'll be a lot to do. Time will be short and
there will be a few things that we wil really need to get done. Spend money
only on seeds and animals and other important things. Clear out your farm by
night.

Spring 3rd, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You wake up, get some breakfast and stay in your house. Before you go outside,
get used to the controls while time stops inside. Notice the calendar next to
the TV, the TV itself, and the toolbox down by the door. I know, it's pretty
empty right now but we'll make it nicer. Check the TV for the weather
tomorrow, festival dates, and some help if you're a beginner.
Go outside to meet the mayor. He'll want to show you around town. Say yes if
you're a beginner so you get a better knowledge of the town besides using my
ugly maps, but however you'll come back when it's 8am.
Whether you say yes or no, clear just a small portion of your farm right in
front of the shipping bin. Look around the farm and get used to it. When it's
around noon, head outside. Go into East Flower Bud Village. Remember the
florist? Buy cabbage seeds from her. Now go around the entire town and meet
everyone. You can leave out the town square. Now go back to the fork near your
farm and go leftish down into the Green Ranch. Go in the pasture to meet Ann
and get your first horse. Name it. It will be taken back to your farm. Talk
to Ann and Gray when you're done, and her father.
Go back and into the vineyard. Watch the scene with Karena and her parents.
When the scene is done, go inside their house and talk to Karen's mom. Go
outside and meet Kai and Karen's dad.
By now, it's probably dark or near dark. Go into the mountains and get a
Veryberry(a purple grape-like berry) and a couple of flowers if you like and
go back into East Flower Bud. Go to the bar. Hope the shipper is there today
and meet him too. Meet the bartender and give him a Veryberry. We'll be wooing
him first. We're not going to marry him though, just make him think we're
friends so he'll cough up something juicy ;)
If you didn't find the mailman, Harris, he'll probably be there. You'll also
find Karen. Talk to her. When you're done, go back to the farm. Time for farm
work. Till the ground for a 3x3 area and plant your cabbage seeds. Get some
water and water your seeds. If it's still before midnight, clear some parts
of your farm. Go to sleep when it's past midnight or your character sits down
with a lack of energy.
Spring 4th, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wake up, check the weather. This is going to become part of your daily
routine, just so you know. Go outside and water your crops. We explored the
town yesterday, so today we go to Moon Mountain. In the first area, you'll
already find the fisherman. Talk to him and you'll automatically recieve the
Fishing Rod. Don't bother fishing right now. Gather all the items and walk
left across the bridge. Meet the carpenters. Check out the cave and the
Goddess Pond and gather some herbs and ONE flower unless you have room in your
rucksack. Go back to town now. It should be about noon or a little past.

Go into West Flower Bud. Give a Medicinal Herb to the Potion Master. He'll be
able to brew up something nice in a couple of days now. Go outside and head
towards the library. Talk to Maria. We'll be wooing her along with the
bartender. Don't want to marry her either? Too bad. We're wooing her anyway.
As of this moment, you should NOT be concentrating on the girl you want to
marry. Give a flower to Maria and talk to her twice. Leave, and cross the
bridge into the East side of town. Talk to Rick. His shop was closed yesterday
so you probably didn't meet him. Talk to everyone you didn't meet. Give Elli
some stuff too. Leave.

If it's before 6pm, work on your farm a bit. Ship all the herbs you are
holding except a Veryberry or two. Clear your farm until 6pm. Go back to the
bar. Give the bartender and Karen a Veryberry. If you still have flowers, you
can give them all away here. Go back to your farm and work clear it out a bit
until midnight or until you're tired. Go to sleep.

Spring 5th, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is basically a normal work day. Water your crops if it's sunny. Go to
the mountains to collect some stuff. Give Maria a flower, Karen a Veryberry,
and give Rick and Elli a flower too. At night, give the bartender a Veryberry.
Yes, this is all going to get your something. If it's raining, just screw Rick
and give everyone else something. Keep clearing your farm.
Spring 6th, Saturday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, you should have enough money to buy Turnips. Start your day normally
by watering crops and going to the mountains. When you get back, buy a Turnip
seed. Give your gifts to Elli, Maria, Karen, Rick, and the Bartender. Right
now, Maria is the highest on your priorety list. Do NOT miss her. Make sure
you visit Rick around the morning hours to find him outside his shop or he
will disappear. After giving gifts, plant your Turnip Seeds and continue to
clear out your farm until midnight, taking a break only to give the bartender
something. Your cabbages must have at least grown a little now.

Spring 7th, Sunday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, the bar is closed and Elli disappears. Basically another normal work
day. The mayor will also be outside to greet you saying tomorrow is the
Planting Festival. Whee. Continue giving gifts to Rick(find him in the early
morning in the Town Square), Maria, and Karen.
Spring 8th, Monday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you know what takes place today? It's the Planting Festival. Be at the
Town Square before 5 or you'll miss it. Water your crops and collect things
to sell at Moon Mountain. If you have some time to kill, clear out your farm.

At the festival, talk to everyone except Lillia twice. Talk to Lillia last.
"It's kind of a girl thing, this festival." ~Ann. The game make you
automatically sleep and go on to the next day.

Spring 9th, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work day. If you were following this walkthrough, you should be able
to buy a brush today. Don't ditch your horse now. Continue giving to the
regulars.
Spring 10th, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You should have a harvest of cabbages and turnips today. DO NOT sell all of
your cabbages, leave 6 or so. Sell all of your turnips except one. Give the
Turnip to the Mayor's wife for a recipe. Instead of giving Maria flowers now,
start giving her your cabbages. It totally wastes your money, but it's
necessary.

Spring 11th, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal day. Continue giving gifts to the regulars, and cabbages to Maria.
Spring 12th, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, if you have been giving gifts to the bartender regularly, you should
get the "Door to Heaven" Wine. Great, we can ditch him now unless you still
want to become better friends. *Scratches Bartender off the regular list*

Spring 13th - 14
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work day.
Spring 15th, Monday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, whether rainy or not, you'll meet Basil. He'll introduce himself in
the morning. You should also have a Turnip harvest around now. Sell all of
those to make some money. By now, your farm should be mostly cleared. Find
Maria in the mountains while collecting stuff. Normal work day. Also, if you
have some free time at night, we can try looking for the music box. Refer to
the secrets section on how to find it. Rick should be good enough friends with
you to fix it, so make sure you talk to him. Give the Music Box to Maria, talk
to her first whenever you have a fixed Music Box. Sometimes, you won't be able
to find it. I don't know why this happens, a glitch maybe? Just don't overwork
yourself trying to find it like I did.

Spring 16th, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, we're going to buy a chicken. You should have enough money from your
recent harvest, right? Buy some chicken feed too. The rest of the day is a
normal day. Try to find the music box soon.
Spring 17th, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Horse Racing festival. Unlike the other festival, we actually
have to be there on time. Go incubate your first chicken egg. If you have a
harvest or need to water crops, take care of that later. Get to the Town
Square before 10 o' clock which is when the first race starts. To be safe, I
would get there at 9. You should have some money to spare. Read the secrets
section for a neat trick to earn medals! Every 3 hours there is a race, so
go ahead and bet without losing money.

After 4pm, the races will end. If you already managed to get enough medals for
a Sustaining Carrot(lucky...) get it. If not, go back to your farm to water
crops/harvest and clear out your farm(which you should have already finished).
Find the music box today if you haven't yet. The music box is going to become
our daily routine too.

By now, you probably already finished clearing out your farm. I'm going to
intoduce you in a new task. That is getting lumer. Go into the Moon Mountain
at night if there's some time left and chop down all the tree stumps, or most
of them depending on time. We're going to save up for a kitchen.

Spring 18th, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal day. Just thought I'd say I got Maria to a blue heart on this day.
BTW, here is your new list of people to give gifts to: Maria(very high
priorety), Elli, Karen, and the Harvest Sprites. If Rick won't fix your music
box, then give him gifts too. If you have an extra egg that's not going in
the incubator, give it to Elli. Yeah, I know it's a waste of a chicken, but
we'll have more soon. Don't forget to cut the tree stumps! Give your fixed
music boxes to Maria(remember, it has to be the first time you speak to her).
Buy two Potato seeds and plant them if you have nothing to water.
Spring 19th, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, we can start voting for the Goddess of the Flower Festival. Put an
extra task in your normal schedule which is to go to the Town Square. Near the
entrance, there will be a little voting booth. Your vote won't really effect
the outcome much. You will NOT be able to dance with the selected Goddess, so
choose Elli or Karen just to make them happy. We'll be dancing with Maria. I
know you're tired of hearing me say this, but we have to get Maria to a pink
heart very soon even if you're not marrying her. The rest of the day ir a
normal day. Be sure to keep digging up music boxes, or trying to if they don't
feel like being found that day.

Spring 20th, Saturday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Find Cliff outside begging for food. Truthfully, I hate that guy. Give him
some food anyway, for the sake of a perfect game. The rest of the day is a
normal day. Vote for the goddess of the Flower Festival if you haven't
already.
Spring 21-22
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal days. You should have a chicken by now, so expect Kent to come buy a
couple of times commenting on it. Also expect Sammy the Salesman coming by
trying to sell "Super Feed". It's just normal feed, don't buy it unless it's
Thursday and you have no grass and no more normal feed. Continue giving Maria
the last of your cabbages, Elli eggs, and Karen veryberries. Don't forget the
Harvest Sprites. Hopefully, they'll speak English soon. Chop wood at night.
If you really didn't clear out your field by now, that's sad. Ignore all the
weed. They'll reproduce every day and it's a chore to kill them. Save 1500g
for the Flower Festival.

Spring 23rd, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Flower Festival. Water your crops/harvest, take care of your
chicken(I had another chick today) and chop some wood/gather stuff. When
you're all done with your business, head to the Town Square before 5pm. Talk
to everyone and buy the Power Berry from the shady salesman and the Bottle
from Rick. Don't buy Pink Cat Mint flowers this year.
Soon, the girls will come out followed the the Goddess for that year. Poor
woman must dance with the Potion Master. Anyway, comment the Goddess(first
option, the options are glitched here) and talk to the mayor. Choose Maria as
your dancing partner, and if she's the Goddess go for Elli or Karen, whoever
you think you ignored more. Dance, then the festival will end and you'll
automatically sleep.
Spring 24-30
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal days. Gather, get the music box, and give gifts. You should have two
hens soon, and a couple of chicks. Watch your animals grow and harvest extra
eggs. Get more feed and buy Grass seeds. Plant them one space away from the
grass so you'll have a border. Ex:

                   +----------------------------+
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW    | Key: W = Unplantable Grass |
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO    |      O = Soil              |
WOxxxOOOOOOOOOO    |      x = Your Grass Seeds  |
WOxxxOOOOOOOOOO    +----------------------------+
WOxxxOOOOOOOOOO

Make sure you plant them closest to you barn.

This is so you can build a fence later. Buy turnip seeds to replace your
potatoes. If you have free time, chop wood and use your few remaining potatoes
to get recipes.(Read recipe section) Also wanted to note that I got Elli to
a blue heart on the 25th, Karen to blue on the 27th, and Maria to green also
on the 27th. Get them to around this by now, we MUST get Maria to pink by the
end of summer, and Elli and Karen near the beginning of Fall.

Since the last few days are coming up and you probably have plenty of free
time without crops to water, try taking up fishing if you finish chopping wood
and everything else you have to do. Spend your money wisely. If you want to
enter the Vegetable Festival in Summer, you're going to have to keep a crop in
your rucksack until the 9th.

==============================================================================
                                 (B) Summer
==============================================================================

Summer is here! Enjoy the new change of song. Now that we've gotten out most
of the basics in Spring, it's time to make some money. Summer is money making
season with high-profit crops. We're going to make some money and finish up
some tasks that we can't finish in Spring. We're also going to reverse our
daily routing by taking care of animals and music boxes in the morning and
watering crops at night. Don't wear yourself out!

Sometimes, you might not have enough energy to water all of your crops. That's
OK, just go to sleep. Sooner or later, you'll get the Gold Watering Can, so
everything will work out.

Summer 1st, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the first day of summer, and also the Fireworks festival! You can
visit a whole bunch of people to watch the fireworks with, but unless Maria's
at a pink heart(which I doubt she it), we're going to watch it with her. This
is one of the rare festival days which take place at night and have people
wandering around in the day. Today, all the girls that are blue heart and
above will come to your farm to tell you where to meet them for the Fireworks.
You don't have to see them of course, so do whatever. Rick also gets the Room
Organizer today, but we're not going to buy it yet.
In the morning, take care of your chickens. Whip out a music box for tomorrow
if you don't have one(Rick is closed today) and go out to Lillia's. Maria is
out from the 1st-10th, so buy some seeds and drop off an egg to Elli. Return
to your farm and plant 2 Tomato seeds and 2 Corn seeds. If it's before noon,
water your crops, otherwise go out and track down Maria. First, check the
mountains while gathering stuff. Don't go up the twisting path, nothing is
there. Learn the places of walnuts and tropical fruit. Maria may be standing
near the tree or near the Goddess Pond, so check those areas. If she's not
there, return to town. Check the church and Mayor's house. This will be your
routine for finding her for the next 9 days.
Once you found Maria(and Karen, hopefully) go back to your farm. Ship your
stuff and water your crops. It'll probably be nightime by the time you finish
watering the 4 plots. If not, go wood chopping or fishing. Once it's around
9pm or so, go to the Town Square. Talk to everyone before Maria. If you never
bought the Bottle, it'll be there with Rick. The shipper also sets up his
stand again. Talk to everyone twice and then talk to Maria. Watch the glowy
things. Hopefully, she's at a green heart or above. Then you'll light
sparklers! Yay! End day, automatic sleep.
Summer 2-8
~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. I got Maria to a yellow heart on the 5th(that's right, it
only took me 7 days.) and a Silver Watering Can the next day. Go to sleep if
you have fatigue, even if you don't finish watering your crops. It's better
than falling sick. If Maria still isn't even at a green heart, you must really
get those music boxes going. Also, the Harvest Sprites should have mentioned
the Door to Tomorrow by now, and also something about the Harvest Goddess.
When that happens, stop giving them gifts. We're going to wait on that for a
while.

Continue giving gifts to Maria, Elli, and Karen. Really use all the music
boxes that you can. The time will be very tight here. Maria will still be at
the mountains, so don't forget that. Your chicken empire should be growing and
your profits should earn you enough money to buy a cow soon. Buy another bag
of Grass seeds to plant when you have time. Gather items to sell at Moon
Mountain. Those walnuts really sell at a high price.

If you see Popuri sometimes, give her a flower. Try to work her up to a green
heart before the year ends.

Summer 9th, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the vegetable festival. If you saved something from Spring, go ahead
and enter it after finishing your chores. Your chicken empire should have
at least 4 fully grown chickens by now. They should be a decent source of
income every day. Water your crops and gather, then go to the festival before
5pm. Talk to the mayor.
Whether you entered the contest or not, you should be inside the square now.
Just talk to everyone and wait for the results. You probably lost if you
entered. Automatically go to sleep pondering what you could have done that
night.
Summer 10-16
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. You should have a Silver Watering Can by now. I got Maria
to a Pink Heart on the 11th after finishing her dream and ankle events. If
your Maria isn't even at a green heart yet, you are in deep, deep trouble.
Forget your crops and concentrate on finding her every day with the Music Box.
Always give her gifts. If you are doing well though, you shouldn't have this
problem. When Maria's at a pink heart, go to your farm every night hoping to
see her there to get your picture. Check the mail the next day once you get
it.

Other than Maria, your crops should also be developing. Whether you got to
water them or not, you should be getting harvests during this week. This
should boost your money greatly, along with your chickens and daily harvests
from the mountain. You should have enough money to buy more grass seeds, then
a cow. I managed to get a Silver Hoe plowing the soil for grass seeds and a
cow on the 11th. Make sure you have fodder.

While you wait for your cow to grow older, you should also be concentrating
on Elli and Karen. After Maria is at a pink heart, concentrate fully on Elli.
Give her the Music Boxes each day instead of Maria and and egg. Give Karen
gifts too, she's steadily climbing on our priorety list each day. I got Elli
to a green heart on the 14th, and Karen to green on the 19th. If Elli
disappears and you have an extra fixed Music Box, by all means give it to
Karen. You shouldn't have too much time to cut wood, don't worry about it.
Don't forget about Popuri. She's not that important to give gifts to unless
you are going to marry her. If you have some free time or meet her along the
way, make sure you give her a flower.

Summer 17th, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight is the Firefly Festival. Finish up your work early and make sure you
go. Maria will ask you if you want to walk her back. Say yes, whether you have
her picture or not, just to be a good guy. Don't worry about other girls
getting jealous of you, they won't. This is basically a normal day with an
added deadline.
Summer 18-23
~~~~~~~~~~~~
More regular days. Continue to water your crops and giving gifts to Elli and
Karen. Elli should be around yellow heart by now. If not, do with the music
boxes. Hopefully, there won't be any typhoons. If you do get one, don't worry
too much about it, just repair what was broken. If you are free up on time,
continue building a fence around your small grass field. Fence the entire
field. Once you hit 10,000g, buy another animal. I bought a sheep on the 20th.
Bring your animals outside on sunny days once your fence is fully built. Buy
the Cabinet also.

Summer 24th, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Sea Festival. It takes place in the day, so complete all your
tasks. At this point in time, you shouldn't really have to harvest in order
to collect money, so chop woods instead of gathering things from the
mountains. When time comes, go the the Sea Festival.
This festival is pretty deserted except for a couple of people. Just mash A
as fast as you can(not doing any special "tricks" to make A go faster, THUMBS
ONLY) and you should beat Kai, who usually wins. You should get an Invincible
Katori afterwards. Whee! Piece of junk.
Summer 25-30
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Regular work days. If you are sure that you won't have any more harvests from
your crops, feel free to cut them down. You should have more than enough
money by now. And without crops, we have some extra time. That means it's time
for wood chopping! If you have any spare flowers of if Cliff is just in the
way, give them to him. We don't want him to leave, or our game is screwed.
You'll know you've become better friends with him when he appears in the bar.
This is also time to spend your last crops on getting recipes. Make sure you
don't miss anyone! Another thing, remember your Door to Heaven wine? And you
befriended the Harvest Sprites so they comment it, right? Well, on a slow day
go to the Goddess Pond between 9am-5pm while it is sunny. Throw an egg, crop,
milk, or wool in there and she'll pop up. Wake the spirit of the Vineyard.
You MUST do this before Fall 7th.

==============================================================================
                                  (C) Fall
==============================================================================

Today begins your first day of Autumn. For others, this is a time of harvest.
For us, this is the time of finally finishing everything from Spring, a time
of friendship, and a time of annexation. We're going to have a new schedule
and no longer be concentrating so much on money, which we should have a lot of
leftover from Summer.

In this season, you will have to concentrate on cutting wood. Continue
gathering from the mountains, but isntead of selling the items, give them to
people.

Fall 1st, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the first day of Fall. Whee! Anyway, go outside and if you haven't
cut down you Summer crops on the last day of Summer, do so. Get your animals
outside if it is nice, except the chickens. Grab a couple of eggs and the
music box and set out towards the Flower Shop.
Buy two Eggplant seeds. That's right, only 2. You should still have 10 grand
in your rucksack. If you have less that 6000g, buy three. Go to Rick and get
the music box fixed. Buy the carpet. Now go to the Bakery and give your egg
and music box to Elli. She should be nearly at pink heart now. (Take care)
Today is her birthday, so she should probably become much happier when you
give her your item. Now go back to your farm and plant your seeds. Water them,
then set out to the mountains. Get a grape and give it to Karen. She should
also be at a yellow heart now, but don't get too nervous if she's not, unless
you don't like to use glitches.
Chop wood if you have time, then go to sleep. We don't need to gather to get
money anymore. If there are some folks in the way who give mushroom recipes,
go ahead and give them one. Saves us time later.
Fall 2nd, Saturday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, I had a full grown cow. You should also be getting one around this
time. Looks like we should get that dusty old milker out of out Tool Box, eh?
Get your small milk and sell it. Follow the schedule above. Find Rick if you
can and flirt with Elli some more. If it's raining and you can't chop wood,
just gather some things in the mountain and give them to random people.

Fall 3rd, Sunday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the day before the Cow Festival. Just to let you know. If have an
adult cow and want to enter it, Ann's father will be outside. Talk to your cow
and you'll lose it for a day. Just a normal day, follow the schedules above.
Elli should be at a pink heart by now. If only yellow, you are in DEEP, DEEP,
TROUBLE. DO NOT miss her.
Fall 4th, Monday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Cow Festival. It takes place in the Green Ranch during the day.
Do your normal things and chop wood. Sell stuff if you want, make sure you
still feed your dog. When all is done, go to the Green Ranch. If the game gets
a little glitchy in some areas, don't worry about it. Just drink the milk if
you want and talk to everyone. You can hear people comment on your cow. Wait
for the results. Chances are, you'll lose since you probably have only a small
milk. Don't worry about it. Go to sleep automatically.

Fall 5th, Sunday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, both Elli and Karen MUST be at a pink heart. If Elli is not, well, you
have 4 days to get her to a pink heart. If Karen isn't a at a pink heart, go
find her. Bring your dog and keep showing it to her until she's pink. All done
now! Since Elli and Karen are at a pink heart, we're going to have a new
schedule. In the afternoon, gather some items. Then chop all the tree stumps.
If there's time and you have nothing to do, bring your gathered items to
people then go fishing. Take a few eggs from your chicken coop every day and
give them to Gray and Cliff. Start befriending Ann giving her the music boxes
and mushrooms. Also befriend Harris the mailman, Kai, and the bakery master.
Everyone except Ann may be found in the bar, so go there at night. Find Ann
at the Green Ranch. Only Ann is being rushed, you have as much time as you
want to befriend the bachelors.
DO NOT, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, SAVE TONIGHT. DON'T.
Fall 6th, Monday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Check the weather. If tomorrow is sunny, then that's great! If it's rainy,
restart your game from yesterday. Karen MUST be at a pink heart by now, if
not, go find her and use the dog trick.

In the morning, just water your crops, take care of your animals(take 2 eggs,
you may have a fully grown sheep by now so shear it if needed.) and get a
music box. Now go to the mountains and gather stuff. Chop wood until the end
of the day. Now go to the bar and give away all your items to the people
mentioned above, and any extras to the others. If that was already done in the
mountains, then go back to your farm and race your horse. This is now your
normal work day schedule.

Fall 7th, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is an important day. Today MUST be sunny, or you'll have a whole year of
wasted effort. Karen must also be at a pink heart and you have saved the
Vineyard. Do all or your chores IN THE MORNING. Do not leave anything to do at
night. The rest of the day is a normal work day. Chop wood and give things to
the Gray, Cliff, Ann, Kai, Harris, the Bakery Master, and anyone else that
happens to get in your way and you have an extra item.
Get back on your farm at around 6pm. Karen should be there. She'll say
something about the Vineyard. Say "What?" and follow her there. You'll see a
whole bunch of lights, which are actually Kiefu fairies kissing the grapes.
Automatically sleep and get your picture in the mail the next day.
Fall 8th, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RESTART THE GAME ON THE FIFTH IF TOMORROW WON'T BE SUNNY. IF NOT, YOUR HARD
WORK WILL BE RUINED.

Normal work day. Give gifts to all of the new regulars, and a music box to
Ann. Ann is the highest on our priorety list, make sure you don't miss her for
a day. Continue chopping wood. Hopefully by now, you'll have enough lumber for
your first extension! Go to the Carpenters' house hoping the head carpenter
isn't blocking your way, and order up a kitchen. Finish your chores and go
back to your farm. He'll be there, and you should have enough materials to
build the kitchen. You should also have a harvest of Eggplants around now.
Sell them, and give one to the Midwife for a recipe.

Fall 9th, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is a special day. It MUST be sunny. Like for Karen's pic, finish
everything early in the morning. Then do your chores giving crap to the
regulars. The carpenters should be around here in the morning building your
brand new kitchen, just ignore them.
When night falls, go back to your farm. Wait for Elli to arrive. She will if
it's sunny and you have a pink heart with her. She will take you to the
Goddess pond and you'll see the Moondrop Essence. Automatically sleep.
Fall 10th-11th
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. Do whatever you need to do. Also a note, you can find the
Full Moon Berry within these days and tomorrow. For more information about the
berry, read the secrets section. DO NOT miss Ann, give her ALL of your music
boxes. If you don't rush with her, you will lose your chance with her picture.
If you want to marry Popuri, give her some items also during your free time.

Fall 12th, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Harvest Festival. Finish your chores in the morning getting the
Full Moon Berry is you wish. Your kitchen should be finished around these days
and the Blue Feather will be arriving in Rick's Store soon. Don't use it yet
though.
When you're done, go to the Town Square. There will be a ton of people and a
ton of food. Try not to hang around Ann too much as she slows down your game.
Also, tell Popuri her food tastes bad. She'll be happy about it, for some
unknown reason. Talk to everyone and wait for Elli to come out. Talk to her
and you'll eat a cake. Cross your fingers and hope that you're the next King.
If you're not, then tough luck. (I wasn't DX) If you are, then excellent!
Afterwards, you can choose dance partner. Pick Ann and dance. After dancing,
automatically sleep.
Fall 13-19
~~~~~~~~~~
All normal work days. Ann should be at a blue heart by now. Give Popuri some
stuff too.

Fall 20th, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Egg Festival! This is one festival that you do not want to miss.
Finish your chores in the morning, then go to the East section of Flower Bud
City. Here, there'll be a bunch of people and crates. Talk to the Mayor and
begin the game. Read the festivals section for more info.
When you finish, get your prize. Yes, I expect you to win. How can you not win
this? Eat your Power Berry. This will come in very handy. Automatically sleep.
Fall 21st, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, the Carpenters' house is closed. Now you must know that they're up to
something bad. Like...BUILD A BRIDGE! OMG. Normal work day. If you've become
very good friends with the bachelors I mentioned, then give your items to new
people. We're going to work up on all the folks one by one. Check to see if
you're best of friends with them by reading the characters' sections.

Fall 22-27
~~~~~~~~~~
A whole week of great fun. On the morning of the 22nd, the carpenters' will
come and ask for your help building the bridge. You know, that broken one
that's supposed to lead to the summit of Moon Mountain. Work will start on the
23rd. On the 23rd, finish all of your chores before 3pm, and DO NOT go into
the mountains. Get to the mountains before 3pm and the carpenters will hire
you to work for them. It doesn't matter if you get there a minute before 3,
they'll pay you 1000g. When you're done, do whatever else you want to do,
hopefully gathering for the next day and chopping wood.
On the 26th, begin training your horse a little. After doing chores, at night
race your horse around your farm until around 10pm. Don't worry so much if
you don't have time to train, we have two more shots at winning before your
evaluation date. On the morning of the 27th, Ann's father will ask if you want
to enter the race. Of course, say yes.
You shouldn't be buying anything except for chicken feed and other necessities
at this time. You should well over 20,000g from your Eggplant harvests, eggs,
milk, wool, and work. Ann should also be at a green heart, continue flirting
with her.
Fall 28th, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the second horse race festival of the year. Before 10am, try to
finish most of your chores and go to the Town Square. Don't worry about not
finishing it all, we don't automatically sleep after this festival thank
goodness.

Use the betting glitch to bet on all the horses using all of your money, and
not wasting a bit! Whee. If you're extremely lucky, you'll get 500 medals
before your race and you can buy a Sustaining Carrot! I recommend that you get
it even if you have enough to buy a Stuffed Horse.

Good luck on your race!

When the festival's over, finish everything that you can without getting sick.

Fall 29-30
~~~~~~~~~~
These are the last two days of Fall. Normal work days, but try to save a
little it of time cutting all of your grass and bringing in all of your
animals inside the barn on the last day. See all those weeds? Say byebye to
them because they all disappear in Winter :) However, you sacrifice the music
boxes too as you can't till any soil. Continue flirting with Ann!
On the 30th, Ann's dad will come by and ask you to take care of some cowns for
people, and then he'll sell it later and give you something as a thanks. Just
go ahead and do it, we'll need some money for the Winter and you don't even
have to feed the cows.
==============================================================================
                                 (D) Winter
==============================================================================
Winter is a quiet time of the year where things are scarce. There's not much
to do without crops to water, but maybe if you have enough money and wood,
there's a way to get crops again. Use eggs from your chickens as gifts and
cows for money. Go fishing often and make new friends. Slowly, but surely,
Winter will pass.
Winter 1st, Sunday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the first day of Winter. Pretty lonely isn't it? Take care of your
animals and keep a few eggs. Feed your dog what you have leftover from Fall
and give Ann a gift. When you have got ridden of all your items, go fishing
for the rest of the day. If you have less than 580 lumber and it's sunny, go
chop wood. Ann's dad should also have given you his guests' cows today. You
don't have to feed them, just brush and talk to them.

Winter 2-7
~~~~~~~~~~
All normal, boring days. Give away some eggs as gifts. Make sure you give them
to Ann AND Ellen. That's right, Ellen, Elli's grandmother. We want to kill her
by Spring. No, seriously. I'm not joking. Go fishing in your spare time and
sell all of your fish. We're going for a Greenhouse, so don't spend anything.
Winter 8th, Sunday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today the mine opens in the cave. This is the only time of the year where you
can go mining, so let's go to it! Finish all of your chores and Ann as early
as you can, then go to the mountains IF it is sunny. Whip out your hoe and
mine for the rest of the day. When the day ends, chop wood and sell all of
your iron ores. If you have a Moonlight Stone, save one and give it to Rick
the next day. If you're lucky enough to make it to the lower floors and got
the Power Berry and chicken thing, save that and give yourself a pat on the
back. If you have a Blue Stone, save on to give to Saibara. If you get a Rare
Metal, give that to Rick too. Not in the same day though.

If it's raining, just go fishing for the rest of the day at the beach. That
way we get money and a chance for a Power Berry also. Congratulations if you
do get it.

Winter 9th, Monday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work day. Nothing spectacular. Follow the schedule on the 8th.
Winter 10th, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the morning, you'll hear a large rumble that'll probably scare you thinking
it's a snowstorm. But it's just an earthquake, doesn't effect your farm in any
way. The carpenters' will be closed though, so you know something will be up.

Today is the Thanksgiving Festival. Grab your cake from all the girls at a
green heart or above in addition to your normal schedule. This is nothing much
of a festival, everyone is outside and you should do your normal chores. Read
the Thanksgiving Festival part of the Festival section for information about
the girls' whereabouts.

Winter 11-18
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. On the 11th, the carpenters will come telling you about
building a pool from the hot springs that opened up during the earthquake. Of
course, they'll need your help. Help them, as 1000g for 5 minutes of work is
pretty dandy. Work starts on the 12th. Get to the mountains before 3pm, just
like when building the bridge.
The carpenters will be closed while building the Hot Springs until the 16th,
when they are completed. Make sure you help them on the 16th as you get a
one-time-only picture.
While the Hot Springs are under contruction, you can't really go to the
mountains until after work. So in the morning, finish your itsy bitsy chores
and go fishing at the beach until 2pm, which is when you'll head to the
mountains to work. Afterwards, you can either go fishing again or train your
dog and horse at your farm. Do whichever.
Speaking of the Dog Race, on the 18th Ann's father will come seeing if you
want to enter your dog in the Dog Race. Say yes as it's free. Excellent. Train
your dog before then by whistling for it and letting it run.
Also on the 18th, the Carpenters should be reopened. You should have enough
money from them to start building a Greenhouse! Get to it. Ann should be at
a pink heart. If she's at yellow, better get that Greenhouse and potatoes
growing! Don't sell your wool, give it to her instead! We really need to rush
her to a pink heart at this point in time. If you have extra money from the
Greenhouse, go spend it on another animal. I bought a cow.
Don't forget about making friends with Ellen!
Winter 19th, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Dog Race Festival. It is just like the Horse Race, but with
different prizes for your medals and dogs. Finish your chores then go to the
Town Square. Bet on the dogs with what's left of your money. Try to get 500
medals so we'll have a sustaining carrot by Spring and we can win the Horse
Race next Fall. If you won the Horse Race already, do what you wish with your
medals.

Just have fun at this festival and hope your dog wins. A longshot won in my
game and my dog ended up in 4th place. Must be those two times I left him in
the hurricane, hmph.

Winter 20-23
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. Work in your Greenhouse. Buy at least a couple of
strawberries and for the rest, meh, I don't care what you put in it. Just as
long as it makes you rich. I myself planted 3 tomato seeds, 1 corn, 1
eggplant, 2 strawberries, 1 turnip, and 1 potato. Don't plant too much though
or it will tire you out AND make your days long and boring.
Start getting more extensions. It doesn't quite matter which ones anymore, any
that you can afford will do. I went with the bathroom.
Ann should at least be a pink heart. If she isn't, you are in deep, deep
trouble. You should check in on your farm every day that is sunny so that you
can get her picture. After that, you can pretty much ignore her. Make sure you
make friends with Ellen too!
Siabara will also have the Ocarina for sale, and the Blue Pot if you gave him
a Blue Rock. Buy them both if you have money.
Winter 24th, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight is the Starry Night festival. Everything is still open during the day
though, so go do whatever you need to. Finish your chores. At 7pm, we can head
towards one of the girls. If Ann is not at a pink heart, go to the church. If
she is, go to the summit of Moon Mountain and talk to Popuri since her heart
level is pretty much untouched.

At the church after everyone is done playing their instruments, go ask Ann
out. For Popuri, it shouldn't matter. Just watch the funny scene.

Automatic sleep, next day.

Winter 25-26
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. It's a good day to get other power berries such as the one
from the Goddess and Water Imp if you are fishing. Continue to either fish or
mine. Chop the last 4 stumps available and get another extension if you have
the wood and money. Keep working on your Greenhouse and get any recipes that
you can. DO NOT forget Cliff's, which you can ONLY get in Winter.
Winter 27th, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight is the Spirit Festival. In the morning, the Mayor will come by your
farm and tell you. After that, if you have talked to the Potion Master at
least twice(I was never friends with him, but he still came :o) and have
either a cow bell or ocarina(you should have the ocarina), he will invite you
to play with some other people at the Spirit Festival tonight.

The day is a normal work day, everyone is out and having fun in the snow. At
night, when you're done with your chores, go to the Town Square. If you're
playing with the Potion Master, then just watch your musical fiesta. If not,
talk to everyone and wait for it to begin. Automatically sleep afterwards.

Winter 28-29
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. I know Winter must be getting pretty boring by now, but what
can you do? It's almost over. Make sure you get 30 drinks or more at the bar
(choose the alternative please) or at the Vineyard for free!
Winter 30th, Monday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Last day of Winter! Finally! Finish your chores and in the evening, you can
go in either the Church or the Bar. I'll give you a choice, either one is
fine. I find they're both the same and boring. After that, the person with the
highest heart rating will come out and ask to watch the first sunrise with
you. Say yes of course, and go off! End Year 1.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

So how does it feel to finally end your first year? We're almost halfway there
to your evaluation. In the first year, we learned the basics, got photos,
earned money, and flirted with girls. This year, we're going to just kick
back, relax, and make friends with the other people whom you probably rarely
even talk to. We want everyone to be friends with us, right? There are also
some Year 2 events only that we want to get.

                                 (A) Spring
==============================================================================

Spring 1st, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the first day of the new year! Let's go out and celebrate. Finish
your chores and get a Music Box. Go do whatever you want until you feel it's
time to go to the New Year Festival! Get there before 5pm.
Go to the Town Square a little earlier though, because there's some business
that we need to take care of. When you first get there, try to walk in the
Flower Shop. If you were good friends with Gray, then Gray should come out.
Watch the funny scene. Exit, then head to the Green Ranch for another scene.
There should be a whole bunch of flowers there which are easy for you to
access later on. Sweet!
Head back to the Town Square and you will probably find Ellen out there with
her head bobbing. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT TALK TO HER TODAY. This
is when Ellen dies. She only dies if you were good friends with her, so that's
something out of out hair. Just ignore her for now.
Countless events are probably happening in the mountains too. All the dream
events that you couldn't finish in the Winter will happen, Spring only events
will happen, and probably others. Make sure you get to the festival on time!
Automatically sleep after the festival to enter your second day of Spring.
Spring 2-7
~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. Make sure you don't miss Popuri especially if you want to
marry her. She should be very easy to get to a pink heart in just one season.
She adores flowers and with music boxes, it should be no problem. Once you
have some money, build a baby bed. We're going to get married pretty soon.
Buy 5 plots of flower seeds when you have the time. Plant them and water them.
Also buy as many grass seeds as you can without becoming bankrupts and plant
them throughout your entire field. Cover as much as you can, just make sure
you don't cover the spot with the music box.

If you ran out of fodder for your animals, make sure you buy some of that too.
Continue to water crops, chop wood, and befriend everyone that you haven't
already.

On one of these days if you finish your chores early, go talk to Ellen. If you
have been good friends with her, she will die. Make sure you comfort the kids,
Elli, and the Bakery Master the day afterwards.

Another thing you should notice is the entre...entre...bug catching dude that
hangs around Moon Mountain looking for a legendary butterfly. We'll get to
him later. Feel free to give him gifts.

Spring 8th, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Sowing Festival. Finish your chores during the day and head to
the first festival that you went to twice. Yay! If you have been good friends
with the bachelors like what I told you to do during the Winter, the King
will pick you to go up in the balloon with him. Say yes, and have a small
chat, then end the day.
Spring 9-16
~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. You should be having a flower harvest soon. DO NOT pick up
any of them. Stu should come by saying how pretty they look. You should be
getting pretty rich off of your Greenhouse by now. If you have enough wood to
get another extension, do so. If not, buy an animal. Or if you have over 20k,
do both.

Continue flirting with Popuri whether she's married or not, and giving flowers
to just about everyone you're not friends with. On the 15th, Basil returns so
go make friends with him too. Don't forget the fisherman!

Spring 17th, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Horse Racing Festival. You should have entered yesterday. Take
care of your chores early in the morning, and get to the track before 10am,
preferably earlier so you can bet if you're not racing. I recommend that you
leave the farm at 8:30am.
Good luck racing your horse, read the festivals section for details. Make sure
you get a Sustaining Carrot if you have some medals.
Spring 18-22
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. The game's starting to get a little boring by now with the
lack events, isn't it? I know, but it'll pass soon. Continue flirting with
Popuri. The 22nd is her birthday, so make sure you give her a music box and a
flower as gifts. On the 19th, voting for the Goddess of the Flower Festival
will begin. Vote for anyone that has a pink heart.

Spring 23rd, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Flower Festival. If you had some unfinished farmwork to do such
as cutting grass, today is the day to do it. Finish everything in the morning
and cut wood if you have the energy and time, then go to the festival. Do the
same thing as last year, talk to everyone, and recieve flowers from the girls.
MAKE SURE YOU BUY 5 PINK CAT MINT SEEDS. This is the only time that we can
buy these, so make sure that you get them. Dance with whoever is not at a pink
heart.
Spring 24-30
~~~~~~~~~~~~
These are the last days of Spring. Not like that matters to you with the
Greenhouse. By now, most of the girls should be at a pink heart if not all of
them. Hmm...it appears that we have completed all the events that takes place
without a wife. Which means it's time to get married!

When Rick's shop is open, buy a Blue Feather. Go to any of the girls at a pink
heart and propose. You probably have a kitchen and the girl's at a pink heart,
so there's a very high chance that she'll accept. You know she accepted when
the Blue Feather you had disappears. Your wedding will take place on the next
Sunday, so try not to have anything planned on that day. The next Sunday
should be the 27th. On the day before your wedding, LEAVE YOUR ANIMALS OUT. I
dearly hope it's not raining or you might waste a day with animal medicines.

Right after your wedding, expect 4 more couples to get marries one right after
another. If one couple still isn't married, then you haven't made good enough
friends with the bachelor! After all those weddings, spend a day or so healing
any sick animals and making friends with any bachelors that are unmarried.

BTW, I do know that Blue Mist Flower seeds come on the 25th. Don't buy them
until everyone's weddings are over. After you exit, there should be a scene
with Popuri taking you to the mountains near the Goddess Pond. You'll be told
that you have to water the seed every day or the flower will die. Whoopee....
Another task that we must be assed to do. Just add that to your routine while
chopping wood.

Speaking of flowers and wood, you should have most of the extensions by now.
I only had the Log Terrace left, you should have only 1 or so too. Plant those
Pink Cat Mint Seeds that you bought at the Flower Festival. Water them. That
ends this season. Your Moondrop seeds are still safe during the summer
although you can no longer buy their seeds.

Buy an animal whenever you have an excess of money, which should be often. By
the end of Summer, we're going to have all the extensions and max number of
animals.

==============================================================================
                                 (B) Summer
==============================================================================

So how's it feel to finally be married to that someone that you met a year
ago? Satisfying? Happy? Boring? Well, this season there are a couple of events
that take place with your wife and next season, a major thing will happen.
This is a calm season unlike last year. Continue giving gifts to those that
are not your friends.

Summer 1st, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Fireworks festival. Yay! No need to purchase crops with the
Greenhouse around, so just water your flowers and take care of your animals.
Don't forget the Blue Mist! Summer is actually not all that different from
Spring. Continue feeding people flowers. Chop wood while you're at it. If
you're bored, work on your recipes or go fishing. The Library will be closed
until the 10th, not that you care.
At night, go back to your farm. Your wife should be outside. Talk to her(NOT
on your horse) and go watch the fireworks together. Automatically go to sleep.
Summer 2-6
~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. 8 days after consecuatively watering the Blue Mist Flower,
there should be a scene there and the day then automatically ends. Go there
when finished with your chores. If you screwed up on the flower, don't worry.
You can have as many chances as you want, the flower dies in Fall but returns
next Spring.

Give flowers and chops wood. Most of the people in town should at least be
friendly towards you. Start saving up money from your Greenhouse. Have at
least 30,000g. This way if a typhoon comes along and your Greenhouse breaks,
you'll at least be halfway to getting it back again. Fill up your barn if you
have excess money and get your last extensions.

Now what about those Pink Cat Mint Seeds? By now, they should have bloomed.
Stu should come by asking to trade some of his marbles for a flower. Say yes,
then trade his marbles for a Power Berry. You can use the rest of your flowers
now if you wish.

Summer 7-8
~~~~~~~~~~
These two days are normal work days. However at night, make sure you go back
to your farm. Outside, your wife will be waiting for you if it is sunny. Talk
to her and you will go to the river in Moon Mountain. Cast your wish. I doubt
this has any effect in the game, but the Bamboo Float event is still
interesting. If you miss it on the 7th for whatever reason, you can still go
on the 8th.
Summer 9th, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Vegetable Festival. Get something from the Greenhouse. Hopefully
you have at least something, maybe a middle crop or a new harvest. Bring
whatever vegetable you have to the festival after finishing you chores. Watch
the results. If you win, you get bragging rights! Woohoo! Go to sleep
automatically afterwards.

Summer 10-16
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. If you have nothing to do, just go fishing and complete
your recipe list. Don't forget the Blue Mist Flower if it died on you! All
your extra money should be going to grass seeds and animals in your barn.
If your wife is Ann, at night go inside your kitchen. A feast should await you
on the 14th. Eat up, then talk to Ann. Why is there such a feast? Why, it's
her birthday. Give her a present then go to sleep.
Summer 17th, Saturday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Firefly Festival. The day is normal, but at night go to the
beach. This is pretty much the same as last year. Talk to everyone, then wait
for the firefly lights to be set out to sea. If you gave Rick a Moonstone from
the cave, don't expect a firefly light. You don't get anything, sadly.

Summer 18-23
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. Things are pretty much slowing down. If you lost your
Greenhouse during a typhoon....hopefully, you'll have enough money to bring it
back, just go cutting wood. That should take only a few weeks, it'll be
enough time to get the home extension picture if you don't already have it.
Make sure you plant A LOT of grass before the end of the season, as long as
you have the money.
Summer 24th, Saturday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Sea Festival. This year, we can get 500 pieces of lumber if we
win which is very handy for those that lost their Greenhouse or don't have
all the extensions. Make sure you win, because even if you still have all the
extensions it'll be good for building a fence.

Summer 25-30
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is your wife acting a little...strange? That's wonderful news! No, I am not
dissing your wife. This means that...well, keep playing and you may find out.
;) Normal work days, continue doing everything that you have been and wrap up
any business for the season such as the Blue Must Flower. If your birthday is
Summer 25th, a feast awaits you that night in your kitchen. Answer your wife's
question correctly of course. Make sure you picked the rest of the flowers or
store them in your cabinet.
==============================================================================
                                  (C) Fall
==============================================================================
Welcome to the second half of the year. The year is going to end soon. There's
not much else for us to do. You should have made excellent friends with the
townsfolk withing the past three seasons, and have all the extensions whether
your Greenhouse was lost or not. While a busy time for others such as Karen
and Kai, this will be a relaxing time for you. Go fishing whenever you are not
busy and harvest a lot of grass before the end of the year.
Fall 1-3
~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. If Elli's your wife, make sure you give her a birthday gift
on the 1st. Have you been talking to people around town? The married
bachelorettes must be saying something about feeling funny, just like your
wife! Any ideas on what it could be yet? You'll soon find out. Actually, about
20 days, but that's no big deal, right?

On the 2nd, Kent will come by and tell you which one of your cows will do best
in the Cow Festival on the 4th. Usually, any cow with large milk can win the
contest, but whatever. Your Greenhouse should be safe, congratulations if it
survived through the Summer.

With no more wood to chop and no more flowers at the Green Ranch, go fishing.
Fish all day after your chores are done. Most of the people in town should
already like you. If there are still some that hold something against you, go
give them a couple of mushrooms so they'll warm up to you.

On the 3rd, enter one of your cows to the Cow Festival.

Fall 4th, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Cow Festival. Excellent. Finish all of your chores in the morning
and go to the Cow Festival. Drink up on the milk there and wait for the
winners to be announced. Chances are, it's you. Automatically sleep.
Fall 5-9
~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. One of your cows should now give Golden Milk giving you an
even easier time with money. Basil will be leaving again on the 5th, so
hopefully you have been very good friends with him. The rest of the days are
normal work days.

Fall 10th, Monday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is a special day. Finish all of your chores, then at night, go back to
your farm. Your wife should be outside. Talk to her to watch the full moon
with her. Automatically sleep. Also, you can find the Full Moon Berry between
now(the 10th) and the 12th. Go and get them.
Fall 11th, Tuesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work day. Go fishing.

Fall 12th, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Harvest Festival! This is another chance to be King and get your
own picture of a balloon and the fat mayor. Finish your chores in the morning,
then get to the Town Square. Wait for Elli to come out while talking to
everybody. When she comes out, eat the cake and hope to pull out a coin. If
you do, that's great! If not, better luck next time. Go to sleep automatically
afterwards.
Fall 13-19
~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. There really isn't that much to do now. Just go fishing and
if you want, you can see Karen and her family picking grapes. If Karen is your
wife, she'll be gone for a couple of days.

Fall 20th, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Egg Festival. Already, time for "sports!" It's insanely easy, so
find all the eggs and win your Turtle Figurine. What does this do? Absolutely
nothing I believe. Be happy that you have a new decoration for the top of your
TV and just chill out.
Fall 21-27
~~~~~~~~~~
Let's just have a quick wrapup of what we should have. At this time, you
should be married, have all the extensions, the girls' photos(except for maybe
Popuri, but that's alright), and an almost full if not barn.

Your one season anniversary is here! Yay! It's not mentioned at all, but
that's because it's not a great accomplishment. If you have been talking to
your wife lately however, you'll find out that she found out she was pregnant!
Talk to all the wives in town and you'll find out that the ones married right
after you are also pregnant! Isn't that fantastic, a whole new generation of
kids right here.

These are basically normal work days. Save up on fodder for the winter and
just do what you do on normal work days.

Before the 28th, start training your horse. Instead of fishing or giving
gifts, just spend most of the day racing your horse around the farm. Time
passes quickly, so this shouldn't be so much of a hassle to do.

Fall 28th, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the 2nd biannual horse race festival. Finish your chores as early as
you can and leave to the festival at 8:30am. If you don't finish everything,
don't worry. You can still work after 6pm.
At the festivals, bet as much as you want. You probably have more money than
you can spend. I still recommend using the glitch, just so it's easier. Good
luck in the race!
Fall 29-30
~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. Harvest all the grass on the 30th and take your animals
inside. Winter is coming.

==============================================================================
                                 (D) Winter
==============================================================================

Winter has come again. The boredom of Winter has set in on other seasons too,
so don't expect too much here. Everyone in the game should be very good
friends with you by now. Go mining and fishing when the time comes and do your
best to get through this season. You should tons and tons of money, enough to
buy at least 50 cakes. Buy cakes for gifts this season and get points on your
bakery card!

Winter 1-9
~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. Can the days drag by any slower? Go fishing to pass time.
Once the mine opens and it's sunny and you don't have the Power Berry and
Weather Vane on the 3rd floor, go mining. If you do, go fishing.
Winter 10th, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Thanksgiving Festival. Just treat it like a normal day. You can
still obtain cake from the girls whether you are married or not. Go around
town and eat some cake. In the evening, go back to your house and talk to your
wife. She will give you some cake too.

Winter 11-18
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days.
Winter 19, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Dog Racing Festival is back again. Have you been feeding your dog? You
should have, and been taking it inside whenever it rains or snows. Finish
your chores as early as you can, then rush towards the Town Square. Bet as
much as you want, then watch the dogs race! Congratulations if you win,
congratulations if you won twice in a row! If you lost, it's not THAT big of
a deal, it'll just take a bit longer for you to have all the pictures.

Winter 20-23
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. Give away cakes, go fishing or mining.
Winter 24th, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight is the Starry Night Festival. Go to where your wife is at this
festival. She'll probably tell you in the morning as well. The rest of the
day is a normal work day.

Winter 25-26th
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. The raffles at the Bakery and Flower Shop staret today.
Unlike last year, we actually have points this time! Go to both stores and
turn your 10 Flower points and random number of Cake points into prizes.
Hopefully, you'll get something good that makes your home look better. If you
want to win the New Year's Festival again, make sure you get tons of drinks
at the bar or the Vineyard.
Winter 27th, Saturday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight is the Spirit Festival. You would be going, if your wife isn't having
a baby. If you were following the walkthrough, you'd be having a baby on this
day! Watch the scene, then go outside. Do whatever you want. I usually just
gallop my horse, there really isn't that much to do outside anyway. Around
3pm, go inside your house. It turns out that the baby was born! Name your
baby. If you get to your house in the evening, your wife will name your baby,
and trust me, it'll be something preset and stupid.

If you didn't have your baby today, then just go to the Spirit Festival and
treat it like a normal day.

Winter 28-30
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. The end of the year has finally come. Finish any business
that you can only do in Winter and on the 30th, go to the place where you
wife goes. She'll usually say something about it in the morning. Watch the
first sun rise together, and end the year.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                                {3.3} Year 3
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Not much left to do in this game. Your evaluation is coming in ONE season!
If you haven't gotten everything straight, you must right away! You should
have all the extensions, recipes, be friends with everyone, and have all your
animals outside on the day of the evaluation! Plant grass that covers the
entire field. Yes, cover up the music box, we no longer have a need for it.
Spring 1st, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, we'll go celebrate the new year. Finish your chores, then go to the
Town Square. Drink up, then go home. Automatically sleep.

Spring 2-7
~~~~~~~~~~
We're really rushing it now. Go to the Flower Shop and buy enough grass seeds
to cover your entire field. Spend these days at your field, plowing the soil,
and planting every square of soil with grass seeds. Hopefully, you'll also
uncover a Power Berry while doing this. When you're done, most of your field
should be filled with tons and tons of grass.
If you get too tired working, go fishing. If you still don't have all the
extensions, make sure you go wood chopping too! Fill up your entire barn and
chicken coop.
The fisherman returns now that it's Spring, don't forget him. Just give him
some fish and he'll be happy.
Spring 8th, Wednesday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's the Sowing Festival. You should know the drill by now. Finish your chores
in the morning, go to the festival, blah blah blah. Automatically sleep.

Spring 9-16
~~~~~~~~~~~
At this time, Ellen should be dead. If she's not and you tried talking to her
in the daytime, then you're not good enough friends with her. Give everyone
gifts and get those recipes! Plant all the grass seeds that you have and make
sure it covers the field. If you have time to train your horse for the Horse
Racing Festival, do so. Basil will be returning on the 15th, so give him gifts
if you didn't manage to become good friends with him during the other seasons.
Spring 17th, Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Horse Racing Festival. If you still haven't won, this is your
last chance before your father comes. It doesn't effect your evaluation much,
but I prefer to have all the photos before he comes. Good luck in the race.

Spring 18-22
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Normal work days. If you've completed everything I mentioned above, just kick
back and relax until the end of the season. Go fishing so your fishing score
is not too low. Vote for whoever you want in the Flower Festival.
Spring 23rd, Thursday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the Flower Festival. Finish your chores early and go to the festival.
If your wife is not the Goddess, dance with her, assuming that you are not the
King. If she's the Goddess, then dance with whoever else you want.

Spring 24-30
~~~~~~~~~~~~
These are your last days on the farm. Make sure everything is perfect. On the
30th, hope it's sunny and leave your animals outside. One of these days is
also your first anniversary. Your baby should start crawling on that day!
Now you can pick it up and give him gifts. Make sure you go in your kitchen on
the night of your anniversary. Get a nice treat. Good luck on the evaluation
date!
Congratulations, chances are that you have gotten the Party Picture, the
hardest to get picture in the entire game. Feel happy? Do whatever you wish
in the future years of your game. This is basically the end of the game.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
                                 IV. Animals
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Farm animals are a definite requirement to getting the Party Picture. They are
also a great help in making a some good money all year round, their products
make wonderful gifts, and all of them are easy to care for.
Farm animals aren't the only thing that you'll find in this game though. In
the wild around Moon Mountain, you can find foxes, birds, bugs, rabbits, and
so on. These animals don't do anything, it's just to make the game more
realistic. You can show these to people, but it won't really increase their
friendship rate towards you much. After you take the animals somewhere, exit
the area and they will return to their rightful place.
---------------
About The Sick:
---------------
Back to farm animals. You can buy these at Green Ranch. Talk to Ann's father
across the counter to buy. You can also get Animal Medicine which works on all
animals when they are sick. Cows and sheep will get sick if you just miss one
day of feeding them. They will also get sick if you leave them out in the rain
or *GASP* a hurricane or slash at them with your tools too much. Chickens will
only get sick if you miss about 3-4 days of feeding them or leave them out in
the rain or hurricane. However, they won't lay eggs if you don't feed them.
Animals turn an unusual shade of gray if they are sick. Sometimes, animals
will also get sick for no reason at all. I don't know why they do this, maybe
it's just because they hate you :P
You can only buy Animal Medicine one at a time, so it's a pain in the ass to
cure all your animals if they are sick. You better postpone your plans because
it will take pretty much an entire day for you to cure 8 animals. Animals will
die about a week after they are sick. These dudes are pretty sturdy giving you
plenty of time to cure them, so if they die it's your fault.
-------------------
Quality of Produce:
-------------------
Farm animals give different produce which all have different qualities. The
higher the quality, the more money you get from them. The fastest way to
increase the quality of your animal's produce is to let them outside. There's
also a pretty mean trick, read the secrets section for more info.
----------------
Feeding/Grazing:
----------------
To feed your dog, just put an edible item that you can eat(NOT drink) into its
bowl near the doghouse. To feed a cow/sheep/chicken, go in the respective
house and press A on each square feeding bin. You should see each animal's
name. To feed cows/sheep, go to the top of the barn. There should be a strange
thing sticking out. Press A on that pink thing to withdraw fodder. Place the
fodder in the tray on either side. To get fodder, you must cut fully grown
grass from your grass seeds with your sickle. You can also buy it at Green
Ranch.
To feed chickens, you must get feed. Buy them at Green Ranch for 10g a piece.
Equip the chicken feed and press B in front of each chicken's feeding square.
There's also another way to feed cattle/chickens. You can let them out into
your field of grass, assuming you have one. Every morning at 6, random patches
of fully grown grass will disappear for each animal you have outside. It
doesn't matter where your animal is. There are no wild dogs in the game, so
you don't even have to build a wooden fence. To get your cattle out, just
push them with the Control Stick from behind. They will also follow you after
you talk to them. The bell works too, but it's annoying to use.
Now, for information about each individual animal:
Cow:
----
The cow is the most profitable animal. It takes 21 days to grow from a store-
bought cow, and another 21 days to grow from a very tiny cow that was born
using the Miracle Potion. Talk to it and brush it every day to make it happy.
Cows go in the barn where you can have a max combination of 8 cows/sheep. Cows
also only give milk when they are adults.
It takes 6000g to buy a cow. You can milk it with the Milker that you buy from
Rick's store. Use it on your cow for milk that you can sell. There are three
sizes of milk: small, medium, and large. They sell for 100g, 150g, and 300g
respectively. You can also get the special Gold size if you win the cow
contest. This milk sells for a whopping 500g! Many people also like this milk.
Cows can be bred with a Miracle Potion. Just buy it at the Green Ranch and use
it on the adult cow you wish to be bred. It will take 30 days for the calf to
be born. You can breed cows this way, but it'll take much longer to make a
profit as this way would take many seasons for just one cow to start giving
milk. The cow won't have any more advantages than a store bought cow, and one
disadvantage of taking longer to give milk.
Sheep:
------
In my opinion, sheep are worthless in this game. They cost 4000g and also
takes 16 days to grow into an adult. They give wool once a week. You can cut
off the wool by buying the shears at Rick's Tool Shop. Normal Wool sells for
a sad 900g, but good wool sells for more a 1800g. Not as great a profit maker
as cows. Sheep also go in the barn where you can have a max combination of 8
cows/sheep. Sheep give wool only when they are adults.
Make sure you brush your sheep every day and talk to it, as with cows. You
can't breed them or get better quality wool in this game. Feed it the same way
as cows. They're a bit deserted in this game, aren't they?
Chickens:
---------
Chickens, believe it or not, are better to have than sheep. Chickens cost only
500g and lay eggs every day as long as you feed them. To feed them, just buy
some chicken feed at the Green Ranch. Equip it and put it in the proper feed
box. Chicken go in the chicken coop right next to the barn.
Chickens lay eggs every day. They are sold for 50g each. Many people just
adore eggs and they make great gifts when things are scarce in Winter. They
are also very easy to breed. Just put any egg into the incubator by the
corner. In 3 days, a chick will be born. It takes 7 days for that chick to
grow into an adult hen which will begin laying eggs immediately. You don't
have to feed the chick, which is pretty handy.
Although chickens eat chicken feed, if you take them outside they will eat
grass. How strange.
Dog:
----
You get to name your dog at the very beginning of the game. The dog is an
invincible creature that will never die, even if you don't feed it. However,
it will be happy to recieve food and will do better in the Dog Race, which is
the main reason you want to keep your dog. Not that you can get rid of it
anyway. When it's raining, bring it inside your house.
To train your dog for the dog race, just feed it every day and whistle for it
once in a while to make it happy. And that's it for the useless mutt.
Horse:
------
The horse is kind of useful in this game. To get one, during your first Spring
go to Green Ranch on a sunny day. Go to the field and you will have a scene.
Now, you have a pony! The pony is pretty useless right now. Brush it and talk
to it every day to make it happy. It will chase after you after doing either.
Your pony will grow up into a strong horse in just 20 days. Once it's fully
grown, Kent will be waiting outside for you. He'll greet you telling you your
horse is fully grown, then leave. You can ride your horse now, although only
in the farm and it goes just as slow as when you run. You should ride it often
though. There's also one more use for the horse. You can throw a crop of
sellable item into one of its saddlebags and it will automatically be shipped.
Excellent for those that plant away from the shipping bin for some odd reason.
As a horse, you lose your ability to talk to it. You will have to brush it for
the horse to maintain happy.
Festival. If you didn't buy it then, he will sell it at the Fireworks
Festival in the Town Square. If you bought it already, he won't sell anything
in the Town Square. If you never bought it both times, he'll sell it next
year.
                                VI. Possesions
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Possesions are all optional things that you can get. It's pretty nice to have
all of them though. Here's a list of them.
Ocarina
You get to play this in the Spirit festival if you bought it from Siabara. It
serves no other purpose, but it's sooo pretty.
Treasure Map
If you press A at the only tree on your farm, you will find this treasure map.
It gives you directions to find the music box.
Music Box
When you first find it, it will be broken. Become friends with Rick and give
this to him. He'll fix it in a jiffy.
Cake Card
Press Z on it to see the number of stickers you have on it.
Flower Card
Press Z on it to see the number of stickers you have on it.
Lucky Bracelet
Karen gives this to you on your birthday if you are at a pink heart. I don't
think it really does anything.
Potpurri
Popuri gives this to you on your birthday if you are at a pink heart. I don't
think it really does anything.
Embroidered Handkerchief
Popuri gives this to you on your birthday if you are at a pink heart. I don't
think it really does anything, maybe have more stamina?
Hand-Knitted Socks
Ann gives this to you on your birthday if you are at a pink heart. I don't
think it really does anything, maybe have more stamina?
Doorway to Heaven Wine
Woo the bartender for about a week to get this. It's used for an event with
Karen, you can't drink this.
Kazimidori Weather Vane
It's junk. I know, that means we should give it to Rick!
Sustaining Carrot
A handy little item. In the Horse Race, your horse won't lose any stamina
until you press A. It'll just be running with the screen without losing energy
now so you can mash A at the finish line.
Flower Bath Crystals
Looks cool. Er...maybe it makes your stamina recover more when you take a
bath?
Golden Pendant
You get this during an event with Maria and Sammy the Salesman. After that
event, you'll get this next day. Give it back to Maria.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
                                VII. Festivals
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Festivals are often held in the Town Square. Most of these take place in the
day and you will be able to access it from 6am-5pm. Take care of all your
business before you attend a festival, because you'll most likely have to
automatically turn in for the day after the festival. Oh, and you know how
sometimes people like to drop in on you around 3? They still come on festival
days. Everyone is missing on festival days and every shop is closed, EXCEPT
for a few of them. More people come to festivals if you are friends with them.
Spring 1st: New Year's Festival
-------------------------------
This is one of the funnest festivals of the year IMO. Go to the Town Sqaure
after finishing your chores and talk to everyone. Each time you talk to
someone, you have to have a drink. Once the person you're talking to had
enough, they'll leave. Try to get everyone in the square out! However, you'll
faint if you have too much. How much can you take? Well, it's decided by the
number of drinks you had during the year. Have some drinks by going to the
bar and ordering any alchohol beverage(ones that make you turn red) or you can
steal some from the Vineyard(read Secrets sections). I counted, it appears you
need 29 drinks to drink out everyone. Go me!
Spring 8th: Planting Festival
-----------------------------
A filler festival. You don't really do much. If you aren't King, then you get
to talk to people and watch some balloons fly off. Just talk to everyone here
and talk to Lillia to get your balloon. If you're King, you do something
entirely different. You get to ride the balloon. Ask out someone and they will
become better friends with you. You will also get a picture of you riding the
balloon.
Spring 17th: Hose Racing Festival
---------------------------------
A cool festival. If you chose not to enter or you don't have a horse/it's too
young, you can bet on the races. The higher the number, the less chances it'll
have of winning. However, if it does win you will get medals equal to that
number times the number of tickets you bet on it. That's a lot if a horse with
77 wins :) You pay 50g per ticket. There's a cool trick to betting though,
read the secrets section to find out. Buy tickets from the Mayor's wife. Trade
in the medals you earned to the Mayor. He'll offer these prizes:
+----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| Item              | Effect                                   | Price       |
|--------------------------------------------------------------|-------------|
| Sustaining Carrot | Your horse doesn't lose stamina until A  | 500 medals  |
|                   | is pressed(referring to Horse Race)      |             |
| Stuffed Horse     | A decoration for your house.             | 1000 medals |
| New Stable        | Looks cool. Seriously, does nothing.     | 3000 medals |
+----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
If you entered your horse in the race, be sure you're there. Your horse will
be put into one of the 3 races. When the race starts, press A to make your
horse move forwards. Be sure to check on its stamina meter at the top left
corner. Green means pretty high, yello mean medium, and red means it's about
to drop dead. If the meter's red, pressing A doesn't do too much. You can't
bet on races if you're participating.
Don't be late for this festival. There are three races, one at 10am, one at
1pm, and the last at 4pm. You can walk out at anytime, unlike most other
festivals.
You can also buy some stuff here. Check out the stands.
Shipper's Stand:
+------------------------+
| Item       | Price     |
|------------------------|
| Candy      | 120g      |
| Fry        | 200g      |
| Corn       | 250g      |
+------------------------+
Bakery Master's Stand:
+------------------------+
| Item       | Price     |
|------------------------|
| Iced Tea   | 150g      |
| Milk       | 200g      |
| Cookie     | 300g      |
+------------------------+
If you win the horse race, you'll get a picture for the photo album. How nice.
Spring 23rd: Flower Festival
----------------------------
This festival celebrates the pretty flowers. In other words, it's another
boring crap festival. Before this festival, you are allowed to vote for the
Goddess who must dance with the King for that year. Afterwards, you can dance
with any other girl. Oh yes, there's also many useful things you can buy here.
Lillia and Basil sell Pink Cat Mint flowers for 200g per pack, Rick sells a
Bottle which is VERY handy for only 300g, and the shady salesman over there
will sell you one of only 10 Power Berries for just 1000g, an awesome deal!
(And probably the only legit thing he'll sell)
Summer 1st: Fireworks Festival
------------------------------
This is a nightly festival, everyone is outside today so the day is normal.
Every two hours starting at 8, girls at a blue heart of more will come visit
you telling you where they'll be for the festival. The girls come in this
order: Maria at 8, Popuri at 10, Elli 12, Ann 2, and Karen 4. At night, choose
one of the girls to go watch the fireworks with. Maria is at the Town Square
(along with a whole bunch of other people), Elli at the Bakery(go through the
side door), Karen at the Beach, Ann at the Green Ranch, and Popuri at the very
top of Moon Mountain.
If you are married, just come outside onto your farm after 6 to find your wife
waiting there. Watch the fireworks with her on the farm. Sorry pimps, but you
can only watch with your wife if you're married.
Oh, and at the Town Square, the shipper and Rick will have stalls open. Rick
will only have his 300g Bottle(unless you bought already, then he comes empty
handed) and the Shipper has this:
Shipper's Stand:
+------------------------+
| Item       | Price     |
|------------------------|
| Candy      | 120g      |
| Fry        | 200g      |
| Corn       | 250g      |
+------------------------+
Summer 9th: Vegetable Festival
------------------------------
People judge others' vegetables that are grown in the Town Square. If you have
a crop that you want to enter, just hold it and show it to the Mayor. If you
just want to watch anyway, go up the stairs. Talk to everyone and the results
will be shown soon. Usually, the Potion Master wins. I usually win with
strawberries, but it's not a guarantee. Tomatoes have a good chance too. It's
kind of a waste of a festival. You lose a vegetable, and when you win, you
don't get anything. Sucks.
Summer 17th: Firefly Festival
-----------------------------
This is a nightly festival, so everyone is out during the day. At 6pm, go to
the beach. You'll see a bunch of glowing flowers. This is to guide the spirits
that come on this day back to heaven since there are no stars or moon on this
day. Another pointless festival, but afterwards you have a chance to raise a
girl's heart level by walking her home.
Summer 24th: Sea Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This festival is sort of fun, and kind of a challenge. It takes place on the
beach in the daylight hours. In other words, before 5pm. You are supposed to
swim to the flag. That's it. How do you do it? You press A. NOT mash A. Press
A as fast as you can with thumbs only. You should be able to win unless you
have a thumb injury. Usually, Kai wins this festival if you don't. However,
I've seen with my own eyes Harris winning once, strangely enough.

After winning/losing, the special photographer will take a picture. You'll
only get this picture if you win. You also get an Invincible Katori the first
time you win the race, then 200 pieces of lumber for each time after that.
No biggie.

Fall 4th: Cow Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not a fun festival, but one that's useful. The Mayor said that this festival
was placed here to try to get people to raise cows. Before the Cow Festival,
if you have an adult cow, you can enter it. Ann's fater will be outside in
the morning. Just talk to him, then the cow that you want to enter.
This festival takes place in the Green Ranch during the day. Get there before
5pm. You'll see a lot of people and cows. Press A near milk to drink it. This
doesn't do anything that effects you though. Some parts of the field may get
a little glitchy, but all it does is slow you down, nothing else. After a
while, the Mayor will announce the winner of the contest. If you have a cow
that gives large milk, it will usually be you. If not, then it's the Green
Ranch. If you win, your cow will begin to give golden milk which sells for
a hefty sum of 500g.
Fall 12th: Harvest Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is an important factor to what you do for some festivals. It's there to
celebrate "another year's harvest", and also to select the next year's King.
There is a ton of food. The game slows down a bit near Ann, yet again. Nothing
harmful though. After a while, Elli will come out of the horse race track
doors. Talk to her to recieve a cake. You will eat it. If you there's a coin
in it, you'll be next year's King! If not, then one of the other bachelors
will become King.

Fall 20th: Egg Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Supposedly a "sport", this is just a festival where you find eggs, like what
some kids do at Easter. Go to the Town Square during any time before 5pm, and
the festival will begin. Talk to the Mayor and it will start. Look at any of
the crates by pressing A and sometimes you'll get an egg. If it's the same
color as the Mayor's egg, bring it up to him and talk. If not, press A to make
it disappear and keep looking. There's a time limit, but a pretty long one.
As long as you get the majority of the 5 eggs, you'll win the prize. On the
first year, you get a Power Berry. The second, a Turtle Figuring. After the
third year, you only get lumber.
Fall 28th: Horse Race Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another Horse Racing Festival! This is the same one as Spring with the same
people, same items selling, and same prizes. Read the Spring section for more
details.

Winter 10th: Thanksgiving Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is the day women show their appreciation towards men by baking cakes. If
only we had that in real life. *sigh* Anyway, there are two ways you can get
cakes. The first way is to stand at your farm and wait every few hours for
girls that like you to come by. Or, you can go out and visit them. The girls
must be at a green heart or higher to give you cake. Here's their locations:
Karen - Beach
Ann - Green Ranch
Popuri - Flower Shop
Elli - Bakery
Maria - Her House
Sometimes, you need to talk to them twice to get your cake.
Everyone is still outside on this day, nothing closes.
Winter 19th: Dog Race Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is exactly like the Horse Race festival, except with different prizes for
your medals, no shipper, and a few people are in different places. The betting
trick still works for this festival, so use it as much as you want. You know
Taro, the Potion Master's dog? She's in the race too! I don't know if she's
the long shot in every game, but she is in mine.

The races are at the same time, 10pm, 1pm, and 4pm. The higher the number when
betting the dog, the lower the chance of winning. You do get more medals if it
does though, which is very swell. You don't have to press A when racing your
dog, all you do is watch it and hope you're lucky.

If you win this festival, all you get is a picture. Hurrah!

Prizes:
+----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| Item              | Effect                                   | Price       |
|--------------------------------------------------------------|-------------|
| 500 Lumber        | You get 500 pieces of lumber.            | 500 medals  |
| Cute Clock | When viewing the inventory page, the | |
| | clock will be in the design of a cow. | 1000 medals |
| Awesome House | Not for you, silly. The doghouse will | |
|                   | become much nicer, but still useless.    | 3000 medals |
+----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

Winter 24th: Starry Night Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is always a clear night where we can gaze at the stars. Much of the
townsfolk will be at the church at 7pm. Elli, Ann, and Maria will be there
playing music. Popuri will be at the summit of Moon Mountain, and Karen at
the beach. At the church, after the music, you can ask out a girl. This will
raise their heart level.
Winter 27th: Spirit Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you were friends with this years' King, then he'll come over on the morning
of the festival asking you to help play some music. If you don't have anything
he won't come. You will play either the ocarina or the cow bell. How nice!
Two other assitants will also help the King.

If you're the King, you get to choose 3 assistants of your own. Choose whoever
you want and have fun. If you weren't chosen, just talk to the people there
and wait for the preparations of the festival. Listen to the song and music
then go home. Nothing interesting about this festival.

Winter 30th: New Year's Eve Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight would be New Year's Eve. All throughout the day, the townsfolk and
girls will be talking about how the year finally ended and invite you to
either the bar or the church. I usually prefer the bar, but go to either one
as they don't make any difference. If you have a wife, it's preferable that
you go to the same place she does.
When you're there, just talk and chill out. When you leave, the girl with the
highest heart rating or your wife will ask to watch the first sunrise of the
New Year. I HIGHLY don't recommend cheating on your wife. I have never done
it, but I might just to see what happens. ;)
                              VIII. Your House
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Your house isn't really THAT important for your final evaluation, but it's
nice to have a good looking house isn't it? It's another step to having the
perfect game.
                              {8.1} Extensions
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Extensions extend your house. They make it bigger with more things you can do.
To get extensions, go to the carpenters' in Moon Mountain. There, you can
check on the extensions you can get inside their house by the back wall.
Talk to the head carpenter inside to ask to build an extension. Sometimes,
he'll be an ass though and stand outside for the entire day, so don't hesitate
to get them.
To get extension, you need both money and lumber. To get money, plant crops.
To get lumber, take your axe and use it on tree stumps. Moon Mountain regrows
tree stumps every day in the same place.
List of Extensions:
+----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
                                {8.2} Add-ons
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
There are several other things you can do in your house to make it look nicer
and more lively. Here's a list of some items you can get.
Room Organizer
--------------
Buy this at Rick's Shop. He'll have it in stock on the first day of Summer. It
stores items which is pretty handy for those Pink Cat Mint Flowers. Costs
2000g.
Oriental Rug
------------
Another thing bought at Rick's Shop. It'll be available on your first fay of
Fall. It's just an ugly carpet that covers a lot of the floor. Costs 3000g.
Invincible Katori
-----------------
This little pig statue is told to stop your Greenhouse from blowing away. Some
claim otherwise though, and think it's just a trophy. I believe the second
one, although I think that the Katori might help your chances of your
Greenhouse not blowing away because it has only blown away once for me. To
get this, win the Swimming Festival for the first time.
Turtle Figurine
---------------
A cute turtle figure that goes on top of your television. To get it, win the
Egg Festival for the first time. I have absolutely no clue what this does.
We need some expert hackers for this game.
Tablecloth
----------
If you're lucky, you could win the Tablecloth in the Bakery's raffle held
between Winter 25-29. This somewhat prettier than the carpet, checkered, blue
tablecloth goes on the table in your room.
Blue Vase
---------
To get this, first go to the mine in Winter and obtain a Blue Rock. Give it
to Saibara and he'll change that ugly clay thing in his shop into a Blue Vase.
Now you can buy it for 2000g. One of the only things in the game that looks
pretty and decent. It's put on the table in your house and a flower
automatically goes in it. How nice.
Beautiful Painting
------------------
If Maria is at a Red Heart during your birthday, you get this. It hangs over
your bed. Actually, it looks really nice.
Luncheon Mats
-------------
Now we move on to the kitchen. If you win 3rd prize in the Flower Shop's
raffle also held between the 25-29 of Winter, you get this. They go right on
top of the table. They're so small you can hardly see them. Yay!
Mug
---
This also goes on the kitchen table, and also from the Flower Shop's raffle.
You must win second prize. It just sits on the table being ugly and unusable.
Cushion
-------
You get this as first prize in the Flower Shop raffle. It looks cool and comfy
sitting on your bed.
Stuffed Horse
-------------
Hand over 1000 medals at the Horse Race for this little plushie. It goes on
your Cabinet/floor if you don't have a cabinet. Doesn't do anything like most
of the prizes at the Horse Race.
                                X. Photo Album
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
You can view your photo album by pressing A on the blue notepad next to your
bed and selecting photo album. You can collect more photos over time. It's
very difficult to obtain all 16 photos, but it's possible! Give yourself a pat
on the back if you accomplished this.
1. A Picture Taken Together with Grandpa
You get this picture automatically at the beginning of the game. It's and old,
black and white picture showing you as a boy with your grandaddy.
2. At the Seed Planting Festival
If you're the King for the year, you get to ride the balloon during the
Planting Festical. You'll get this picture the next day. It shows you and the
mayor before riding the balloon.
3. With a Sightseer
To get this photo, you must have won the Cow Festival. Leave your cow outside
after winning the next day, and the three girls that appears only on festival
days should appear. They'll want to take a picture with the cow, and you'll
get this picture the next day.
4. Winner of the Horse Race
This picture will be taken after the first time you win the horse race. It
depicts you, your horse, and Mr. Green(Owner of the Green Ranch).
5. Winner at the Swim Meet
This picture will be given to you if you win the Swimming Festival. You'll
also get a prize. It shows all the participants of the festival, except Kai.
In his place, they put some weird, white kid with a purple bandana.
6. Wedding Ceremony in Front of the Church
You'll get this picture after you're married. It will show you and your wife
kissing, or your face covered with lipstick.
7. Celebrating the Completion of the Hot Springs
If you helped the carpenters on the last day that they were building the Hot
Springs, you'll get this photo. It depicts you and the carpenters celebrating
in front of the new structure.
8. Winner of the Dog Race
If you win the Dog Race, right afterwards you'll get a picture taken. It
depicts you crouching with your dog and the mayor looking like a potato.
9. After the Baby was Born
When you have a baby, you'll get this picture. It shows you and your wife with
the crying baby.
10. Blue Mist Flower
After the first Spring, the Blue Mist Flower will be available for purchase
on the 25th of every Spring. This flower blooms between Spring and Summer.
If you don't water it every day, it will wilt. It will be planted near the
Goddess Pond to make you forget easier. On the day that it blooms, go to the
flower and a rare butterfly will be hovering near it. You and Popuri will have
your picture taken.
11. A Rabbit in Winter
You MUST have Ann at a pink heart to get this event. During a random day in
Winter, go to your farm in the middle of day and Ann will appear. She'll take
you to Moon Mountain to observe the rare Pika Bunny. No, not Pikachu. A
picture will be taken showing you and Ann and the Pika Bunny. You'll get it in
the mail the next day. Your day will automatically end. You CAN'T be married
in order to get this picture.
12. Essence of Moondrop
To get this, Elli must have a pink heart by the 9th of Fall. At night, before
12, go to your farm. Elli will be there and she will take you to the Goddess
Pond. Watch the scene where the water glows. The picture will be taken and
your day will automatically end. It must be sunny on this day! You CAN'T be
married in order to get this picture
13. Dance of the Kiefu Fairy
The second hardest picture to get. At the beginning of the game, you must
become friends with the bartender. If you give him gifts every day, he'll
give you the "Door to Heaven" Wine. Now, you have to woo the Harvest Sprites
in the cave in Moon Mountain. Once you become friends, they'll tell you to
talk to the Harvest Goddess. We're almost done now. Go to the Goddess Pond(The
place where the music is different in the mountain) and throw an egg/crop/milk
in and she'll pop out if it's between 9am and 5pm. Select the last option.
Make sure you're done with everything you want to do during that day because
afterwards, your day will automatically end.
All you have to do is wait until the night of Fall 7th. If it's not raining,
Karen will come by. Talk to her and she'll take you to the Vineyard all
excited. There, your picture will be taken. You'll see Karen dancing with a
bunch of fairies. You CAN'T be married in order to get this picture.
14. Firefly Night
You must have Maria at a pink heart in order to get his picture. During a
sunny day in Summer, Maria will come by at night. She'll take you to Moon
Mountain to watch some fireflies. Your day will automatically end and you'll
get your picture the next day. You CAN'T be married in order to get this
picture.
15. Commemorating Completion of the Home Extensions
When you have all the extentions, the carpenters will come by and give you
this picture. It shows your house with you and your dog in front of it. The
picture may vary slightly if depending if you have the Super Doghouse of the
normal one.
16. The Party Picture
This it the picture everyone wants, but can never get. Very few players have
actually managed to get this picture, even I haven't as I attempt one more
time as I write this FAQ. On your evaluation day on Summer 1, Year 3 many
people will comment on your farm and habits. You must have shipped many crops,
fished many times, have all the recipies, have max number of happy animals,
and be friends with everyone in town. You must also be married and have a
baby, and be good friends with both. You must also have 80% of your field
covered and rarely get sick.
If you have accomplished all of these feats, you'll have a party along with
your 10 best friends and your dad, then you'll get this in the mail the next
day.
                              XI. Power Berries
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Many beginners seem to wonder what those red butt berries they get are. Well,
those are Power Berries! They are VERY helpful. Each one raises your maximum
stamina permanently. Getting all 10 really adds up. There's also a special
power berry you can get. Some berries are easy to get, some are harder. But
whatever the cost, we must find them!
1. Use the hoe on the ground. If you're lucky, you'll find it. Luck is all you
need.
2. During the Flower Festival, you'll see Sammy the Salesman in the corner.
He'll sell this baby for only 1000g. He'll only sell one, but will return
every year to that spot.
3. Fish off the dock in the beach. If you're lucky, you'll get this. I always
have problem with this one, but maybe it's just me. o.o
4. Go to the Goddess at 100% stamina, not have used any of it. Make a wish and
ask for strength. She'll give you a power berry instead. For more information
about the goddess, read the secrets section.
5. Befriend Basil and Lillia and give them a lot gifts. When Basil returns
after Winter, he'll have this waiting for you. Another toughie to get IMO.
6. During Winter, the pond near the fisherman's tent will freeze. Go walk on
it and smash the boulder with your Golden Hammer.(You have one right?) This
berry will pop out.
7. Win first place at the Egg Festival for the first time and you'll get this
as a prize.
8. Dig in the mine during Winter and get to the third floor. One of these
patches contains a power berry.
9. During Spring and Summer where flower seeds are available, plant 8 patches
of flowers. Try to make an even variation between Moondrop flowers and Pink
Cat Mint flowers. When they all bloom, Stu will come by and trade your some of
his marbles with a flower. Trade, then go to the Harvest Sprites on Moon
Mountain. If you are friends with them, they will give you a Power Berry for
those marbles.
10. Throw a Large Fish into the pool by the tent in Moon Mountain. Kappa will
come out and give you this Power Berry.
                                 XII. Crops
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Crops are the main way most people make money. Crops are relatively easy to
take care of, just plant them in tilled soil and water them once a day. Crops
can only grow in a specified season and takes a certain number of days to
grow.
+----------------------------------------------------------------------+
| Crop       | Price | Days to Grow | Renewable? | Sell Price | Season |
| Corn       | 300g  |   13 days    | Yes, 4 days|    120g    | Summer |
***Strawberry seeds will only be sold in Winter IF you have a Greenhouse.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
                             XIII. Character Bios
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
There are many characters in this game. Don't you ever wonder if any of the
villagers have a favorite item? Or where they are at a particular time? Well,
now you will know. Just read up this list!
-----------------
Ineligible Girls:
-----------------
These are all the girls that you can marry. All of them can very, very rarely
be found on the beach at night between 6 and 8. If you're lucky enough to find
them, they'll be collecting shells. Also, when you marry a girl, they
sometimes go out to visit their family.
Ann
---
Ann is a sweet little girl that lives on the Green Ranch. She has a brother
and a father. She was raised mostly by her older brother because her mother
died when she was young. Rick is her cousin. Oh yeah, her family becomes HUGE
after everyone is married. Ann and Karen are best friends. They are the same
age.
Birthday: Summer 14
Also Likes: Potatoes and Corn
Locations: Sunny: Friday-Wednesday - Green Ranch
                  Thursday - Moon Mountain near the Goddess Pond, inside the
                             cave, at Rick's Shop(rare), or the Vineyard(rare)
                             Ann's location is randomized on sunny Thurdays.
           Rainy: Friday-Wednesday - Green Ranch(inside the barn)
                  Thurdays - Disappears.
                  Married - Inside the house across from Green Ranch.
           When Married: Near the Log Terrace.
             Tell her you remember the event and she'll be happy.
Ankle Event: Ann will have sprained her ankle right in front of your farm.
             Handy. Carry her home.
Rival: Cliff
Extra Notes: When married, she feeds chickens and crates eggs.
Elli
----
This young, energetic girl lost her parents when she was young. Now, she only
has her grandmother Ellen. She runs the town's bakery with the bakery master
with no name. She tried her best to be kept in good spirits.
Birthday: Fall 1
Favorite Item: Eggs and Milk
Also Likes: Fish, Cake
Locations: Sunny: Tuesday, Wednesday Morning-Saturday - Inside the Bakery
                  Wednesday Afternoon: Outside the Bakery
                  Monday: Moon Mountain near the Goddess Pond or near the
                          river. Also can be found near the Beach.
                  Sunday: Disappears.
           Rainy: Tuesday-Saturday - Inside the Bakery
                  Sunday and Monday: Disappears
           When Married: By the Log Terrace.
Dream Event: Elli will be making mudpies, and you accidentally eat one(lol).
             Go to the Bakery or the Midwide's house and you'll see the kids
             playing house. As usual, tell her you remember what happened and
             she'll be happy.
Ankle Event: Elli will be on the first screen of Moon Mountain right near the
             river.
Rival: The Bakery Master.
Extra Notes: When married, she feeds chickens and crates eggs. On very rare
days, Elli may also be at the Flower Shop at any day of the week.
Karen
-----
At the beginning of the game, Karen is very bitchy towards you. She has
trouble maintaining peace with others, especially her father. Although quick
to anger, Karen is hard working and staying at the Vineyard only to try to
bring it back to its former glory. But if that's impossible, she won't
hesitate to leave to the city. Cliff is her cousin. Karen and Ann are the same
age and very close friends. I also believe that Karen is an underage drinker,
but the game doesn't tell you their age.
Birthday: Winter 29
Favorite Item: Veryberries, Strawberries, and Grapes
Dislikes: Herbs.
Locations: Sunny: Randomized. *sigh* You can find her every day at either the
                  Beach, in front of the Carpenter's House and the Vineyard.
                  At night, you MAY find her at the bar.
           Rainy: Disappears until nightfall, where she MAY be at the bar.
           Married: By the Log Terrace.
           Married to Kai: In the cellar or the beach.
Dream Event: The dream will show Karen getting in trouble and being locked in
             the storage house thingy. When it's over, go to the Vineyard and
             Karen will give you a tour. You'll get locked in the storage. You
             can either wait it out, or find a hole in the upper right corner.
             Tell her you remember. It will be 9pm when you come out.
Ankle Event: This one may be hard to see, she'll be at the dead tree's base in
             the Vineyard.
Rival: Kai
Extra Notes: When married, she crates eggs. Sometimes, she drops them. Yay!
If you don't get Karen to a blue heart by the second year, she'll leave
forever and that will definitely foil your chances for the Party Picture.
Maria
-----
Maria is a shy, quiet girl. She enjoys reading and spending time alone. She
isn't too confident of herself. That's where you come in, making friends with
her and making her become more outgoing. Maria is very friendly once you get
to know her.
Birthday: Winter 11
Favorite Item: Cabbage
Locations: Sunny: Tuesdays-Sundays: Inside the Library.
                  Mondays and closed Library days: Moon Mountain, near the
                  tree at the Carpenter's house, the Goddess Pond, or outside
                  the church(rarely)
           Rainy: Mondays and closed Library days: In the Mayor's House
                  (9am-5pm, NOT 8am, that's only when the Mayor's wife wakes
                  up) or inside the church.
                  Tuesdays-Sundays: Inside the Library.
           When Married: In front of the doghouse.
Dream Event: This dream is about "an old fairytale book". When you get it, go
             to the Library. Pick up the book on her desk and show it to her.
             After this, it will be 5pm. Why, I don't know, just prepare for
             it.
Ankle Event: This one is easy to see. She'll be in the library. Carry her 4
             feet back to her house.
Rival: Harris
Extra Notes: When married, the Mayor's wife takes over the Library. Maria
             pulls weeds and crates eggs.
Popuri
------
Popuri loves flowers. Like her parents, she just loves to care for flowers and
all other living things. She likes to talk and can be a little stubborn.
Birthday: Spring 22
Favorite Item: Flowers
Locations: Sunny: Monday-Thursdays: Outside Flower Shop.
                  Friday and Saturday: Randomized. At either the Goddess Pond,
                        across the bridge(the one that becomes fixed), at the
                        very summit of Moon Mountain, or near the river in
                        the Carpenter's House.
                  Sunday: Inside the Bakery or at the Green Ranch.
           Rainy: Monday-Saturdays: Inside Flower Shop.
                  Sunday: In the Bakery.
           When married to Gray: Inside the Green Ranch.
           When married to you: Stands near the pond.
Dream Event: Popuri's dream is obvious, it's about flowers. Go find her at the
             tree near the Carpenters' house. Climb the tree by pressing A.
Ankle Event: The same place as her dream.
Rival: Gray
Extra Notes: When married, she crates eggs and waters random spaces of tilled
             soil.
------
Rivals
------
These are all the bachelors that can marry. They will usually marry after you
only if you are good friends with them. However, if you're taking too long to
marry, they will forget you and marry anyway. These guys can have babies with
the girls too.
Kai
---
Working at the same place as Karen, he has had a huge crush on her fore a long
time. He tries his best to be a good worker and is always kind to Karen. He
supports her idea of moving to the city. Kai is the youngest of 8 brothers,
he always listened to them and did their chores because he had no courage to
stand up for himself. He also came from a warm place because he mentions the
first time he saw snow, he didn't know what was falling.
Locations: Sunny: Every Day: Outside the Vineyard near Karen's house.
           Rainy: Every Day: Inside the cellar. You can't miss him.
           Sunny/Rainy: At night, he may be at the bar.
Baby Costume: Pikachu. Sorry Pokemon haters, but it's true.
You can tell he's your friend when he starts to talk about his family, getting
courage, and about "the Master's daughter" at the Vineyard. He'll also say
"Doesn't it feel great to work until you drop?" or something like that when
you talk to him twice instead of the usual "Excuse me."
Harris
------
Harris is a cheerful mailman. He loves to write letters and talk to everyone.
He defends those too shy to defend themselves, which is how he found Maria.
"There's no mail on Sundays." Harris, it's not Sunday!
Locations: Sunny: Monday-Saturday: Randomized. Check the Green Ranch, first
                                   screen of Moon Mountain, outside your
                                   farm, and both side of Flower Bud Village.
                                   He changes position every few hours or so.
                  Sunday: Usually at the Library.
           Rainy: Still delivering mail. Poor guy. Check the sunny section.
           Sunny/Rainy: At night, he may be at the bar.
Baby Costume: Panda.
It can be difficult predicting Harris's friendship towards you since he's
always acting the same during the day. However, if you go to the bar at night,
he'll start to say things about Maria and girl problems if you are good
friends with him. He'll also talk about reading during the day.
Gray
----
Although having a hard, outside shell, he's actually a nice guy that tries
hard to take care of his family and animals on the Green Ranch. He has a
secret love for flowers(Just like Stu) and that's how him and Popuri met. He
is very quiet. He used to be more talkative, but according to Rick, he got
injured when he was riding Cliff(the horse) and fell off. He became much
quieter since. But he was always unsociable.
Locations: Sunny: Friday-Wednesday: At Green Ranch.
                  Thursday: At the Carpenter's part of Moon Mountain.
           Rainy: Friday-Wednesday: Inside the barn at Green Ranch.
                  Thursday: Disappears.
           Sunny/Rainy: At night, he may be at the bar.
Extra Notes: Gray's full name is Gray Green. You know, Green Ranch.
Baby Costume: A Flower, I think.
It's easy to see that Gray has become your friend when he begins to speak
more. He'll say ".....see ya." when you double talk to him. At the Green
Ranch, he'll ask you what you want. When you say Ann, he'll say "Go ahead and
ask. I'll even let you...never mind." or something like that. You'll also get
scenes with him and flowers. That's right, flowers.
Bakery Master:
--------------
This dude seems to have some identity crisis. He has no name except "Bakery
Master." He's a nice guy and likes to go fishing on the days that he's off.
He tries to comfort Elli whenever she is sad. He knows a great deal about
cooking from his grandmother that taught him.
Favorite Item: Milk and Eggs.
Locations: Sunny: Tuesday-Sunday: At the Bakery.
                  Mondays: Disappears, or at the first screen of Moon Mountain
                           near the river. He's a bit hard to see.
           Rainy: Tuesday-Sunday: At the Bakery.
                  Mondays: Disappears.
           Sunny/Rainy: At night, he may be at the bar.
Baby Costume: Don't Know. I heard it was chicken.
The Bakery Master is a little dry about Elli at first. You know he's your
friend when he says things about wiping an old frying pan with fish grease or
something like that, and also about getting the best tea leaves from the
Flower Shop.
Cliff
-----
Cliff is an annoying wanderer that constantly needs food. OK, I'm being a bit
biased, but I hate Cliff. He travels with his falcon pal Kain, and sometimes
he can tell you tomorrow's weather. He is the only person that switches
locations after he's married. He is afraid of trusting people, why, the game
never says. I honestly don't know that much about his locations at all.
Favorite Item: Eggs
Locations: Sunny: Every Day: Check the Green Ranch, the river at the
                             Carpenters' house, and the first screen of Moon
                             Mountain. Sometimes he disappears.
           Rainy: Every Day: Check inside the cave at Moon Mountain and the
                             Carpenters' house if it's open. Sometimes, he
                             disappears.
           Sunny/Rainy: At night, he may be at the bar if you are friends with
                        him. Otherwise, he stands near the pool at Moon
                        Mountain.
           Sunny(Married): Same as before, except he is usually now found only
                           at the Green Ranch in the field with Ann of course.
           Rainy(Married): Inside the deserted house at Green Ranch.
Baby Costume: Dinosaur
Extra Notes: Cliff may leave the game during the Winterm whether you're
             friends with him or not. He usually will not if you are friends
             with him. Sometimes, he comes back in Spring, others, he leaves
             forever.
Cliff is a lone wanderer, so you'll know he's your friend when he talks about
losing something you love, and become more grave. He'll also be at the Green
Ranch more often being a pervert and talking about Ann.
----------------
Other Characters
----------------
These are all the other characters in the game. Very few of them actually move
around though, strangely enough.
Rick
----
Rick owns the Tool Shop in East Flower Bud. He has bright orange hair and
looks like a girl. He is Ann's cousin and always seems to close his shop. He
is an inventor, but everything has always ended in failure. Oh well, tough
luck Rick! He's a nice guy, and does work kinda hard. Rick is just like his
grandmother, trying to build inventions but never succeeding.
Favorite Item: Ores from the mine.
Locations: Sunny: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: In his shop.
                  Wednesday: Disappears.
                  Saturday: Outside Saibara's shop in the morning, then
                  Sunday: In the Square near the fountain, but ONLY in the
                          morning. Then he disappears.
             event ;) If you give him a Moonlight Stone, he'll say he'll make
             a Firefly Lamp for you, but you never get it.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
                               XIV. Your Child
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
As many people know, after you're married with a baby bed, you will have a
child. You don't have to give gifts to your wife every day, you don't need to
talk to her. As long as she is at a pink heart, you will automatically have a
a baby after 3 seasons. After 1 season, your wife will act strange. That's the
first part of pregnancy. After 2 more seasons, the baby will be born. On that
day, your wife's parents will come. Your baby will be born at 3 o' clock, and
you are free to do whatever you want until then. Actually, until whenever, but
if you don't return by 3, your wife will get pissed and name your baby.
Usually, it's something retarded like Parsley in the case of Popuri.
The shipper stands at your farm's exit, but there's a way to get around him.
Ride your horse and stand right where the shipper is. Then get off, and you'll
be free!
After your baby is born, it will be covered in a blanket. This is its blanket
stage. It will stay like this for one season. AFAIK, you can't give gifts to
it but you can show it around town and have people comment on your cute little
baby. Don't drop him!
After that season passes, you will now have a crawling child. He will have a
blue mouse costume on. You can now easily give him gifts and drop him wherever
you want. It will say small phrases and random gibberish. This will last two
seasons.
After those three seasons, your child will begin walking! You will no longer
be able to carry him, but you can talk to him and he will say some real words.
This is his final stage, he can't grow any more sadly.
Other couples will also have babies. They will grow just like yours, but they
get cooler costumes. How come we couldn't get the dinosaur? :(
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
                                  XV. Events
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Here's a list of some events that I remember and got. I'll add more as I play
through the game. Please don't E-mail me about these, these are ALL true and
I dislike relying on people for events. These events are in no particular
order. This will NOT include ankle and dream events.
1. Getting Your Horse
During your first Spring, just go to the Green Ranch onto the grassy area.
There will be a scene where you get your horse. Ann will say she thinks you're
reliable. Then Gray comes along and says he doesn't like you. Ann gets a
little pissy and a apologises for her brother.
2. Ann's Candy
At Moon Mountain near the Carpenters' house, Ann will be near a tree. Talk to
her and she will talk about how squirrels dig holes to hide acorns, then
forget about them when Spring comes. Gray then comes and says it sounds like
someone he knows. He says Ann does the same thing. Ann tries to defend
herself, then Gray says "So you like stale candy?" After that, they both
leave.
3. Karen's Angry
The first time you visit the Vineyard, you will get a scene with both Karen's
dad and Karen. They'll be angry at each other and Karen will run out of the
Vineyard crying. Karen's dad is upset and goes in his house. Walk up and talk
to Kai and you'll get an introduction to their family.
4. Karen Wants a Proposal
When Karen's at a pink heart, go to the beach. Karen may be standing there
alone. Talk to her and she'll ask if you like her. Say yes, and she'll be
wondering where her Blue Feather is. Say no, and...well, I never said no so
I don't know what happens :P
5. Ann and Cliff
In Moon Mountain next to the tree, Ann and Cliff will be there. Cliff is
trying to explain that Kain(his ugly bird) needs to eat the rabbit. Ann
doesn't like it. Cliff tries his best to convince her, but Ann still says she
doesn't like it and lets the rabbit go. Ann leaves. Cliff will then say that
Kain has to eat the fish since Ann stole his lunch.
6. Cliff is a Coward
During Winter if you are good friends with Cliff, go outside on the fork in
the road. Cliff will say that he's leaving. Then Ann comes and slaps him. She
will say that Cliff is a coward for leaving just because he is afraid to have
friends and trust someone. Cliff will say "Ow..." and sit there. Don't worry,
he won't leave for good.
7. Ann and Karen's Discussion
During a Thursday, go to the Vineyard. If you're lucky, Ann will be there and
a scene will commence. Karen will be talking about how she has so many
problems and say Ann has none. Ann will say she does have problems, Cliff.
"You mean that weird guy with the falcon?" "Not THAT one!" Then they both go
inside.
8. Rick is SUCH a Failure
On a Thursday where Ann is at Rick's shop, go inside. There will be a scene
about how Ann thought Rick was sick because he closed his shop so often. They
will discuss that Rick was like his grandmother building many inventions and
never succeeding.
9. Elli and Maria are Cooking Fish
Go the the first screen of Moon Mountain and you may find Elli and Maria near
the tent. The will be cooking fish over a fire and they will discuss how Elli
cooks great fish.
10. Drunk Karen
Go to the bar one night. Karen will be drunk and keep saying stupid. Kai will
be wondering what's wrong, then Karen leaves.
11. Spider?
If you are friends with Kent and Stu, go to Moon Mountain where the carpenters
are. May and Stu will be looking at a bush. Talk to them and they will say
that a butterfly is stuck in the spider web. Should you help them? Say yes and
the kids will be happy. Say no, and they will be sad but realize that the
spider needs to eat too.
12. Teleporter
If you give Rick a Rare Metal during Winter, on the first day of the next
Spring there will be a scene. Rick will come on the farm and show you his
newest invention, the teleporter. He will try to teleport a tomato, and it
comes out frozen. Bummer. Then, he leaves.
13. Cliff and Ann Meet
Become decent friends with Cliff. One day, he will come on your farm during
the morning. He will say he caught a lot of fish that morning and he wanted
to share some with you. He apologizes for bothering you so early, then leaves.
But that's not the end of the scene. When he walks out of your house, you hear
a large THWACK! Go outside to see Cliff and Ann. Cliff walked into her and
says "Sorry, but you should watch where you are going." "What did you say?!"
Ann then shows some interest. Then she leaves as well.
14. The Arrival of Basil
Around the first few weeks of the first Spring, Basil will be in front of your
farm. He will introduce himself, then Popuri comes in. She'll look angry
because Basil still treats her like a little girl. She'll say Lillia is
waiting for him, then they both leave.
15. The Arrival of Cliff
Around the first few weeks of your first Spring, Cliff will be outside your
house crouching. He'll say he's hungry. You could leave him there if you want
and he'll disappear after you leave, or you could give him something edible
from your inventory or farm. He'll be happy, introduce himself, then leave.
16. Gray...Flowers?!
During Spring, if you are good friends with Gray, go to the Flower Shop. As
you try to enter, Gray will exit. Popuri will say goodbye to him and give him
Flower Seeds. Gray starts sweating and getting all nervous. Lol, funny scene.
He'll ask what
17. Flowers at Green Ranch
After Event #16, go to the Green Ranch the next day. You'll get a scene with
Popuri and Ann. Popuri will ask if Ann planted the flowers. Ann will say no
and Gray did. Ann will say that Gray has such a scary face when caring for
those flowers. After this scene, you'll also have access to free flowers down
here at Green Ranch. Cool!
18. Karen's Bug
Go to Moon Mountain during Spring and you may see Maria and Karen. Maria is
trying to get a grasshopper out of Karen's hair, but she keeps moving. After
Maria gets it out, she accidentally insults Karen by saying she looks like the
grasshopper, but meaning to say that her hair looks like the cool antennas.
19. Ellen is Gone
Befriend Ellen over the Winter and during any Spring, go to the Town Square to
see her head...bobbing a bit. Talk to her and there will be a scene where
Ellen dies. The day will automatically end, then for the next few weeks, Elli,
the Bakery Master, Stu, and Kent will all say different things. Elli will be
very sad.
20. Maria's Letter
If you are good friends with Harris, go to the West side of Flower Bud City
and you'll see Harris delivering a letter to Maria. Maria will say that she
has a letter. She gives it to Harris, then Harris says that there's no
address. Maria turns red and says it's for him. Harris starts to sweat and
they both end.
21. Salesman
Be friends with Harris and go to the West Side of Flower Bud City. You'll see
the salesman trying to make a sale with Maria. Maria tries to say no, but
she's having trouble. Harris then comes along and defends her. The salesman
22. Elli's Confession
If Elli has been at a pink heart for a long time, go to the Bakery. When you
try to leave, Elli will ask if you like her. Be honest with her. Afterwards,
it will be 7pm. How kind.
23. Puppies!
If you have befriended Kent and Stu, then one morning when you go outside,
Kent will be there. He'll say that Taro had puppies! He thinks that your dog
might have had an affair with her. Hmm. You'll automatically be taken to the
Potion Master's shop. Look at the puppies, then leave. I don't think any time
passes.
24. Sick Potion Master
One night when you enter your house, Kent will run straight through the wall.
He'll say that his grandfather is sick! You'll be teleported to the Potion
Shop Master's house. He'll say that he's OK, and you can return to yor house.
I forgot how much time passes in this scene, but it'll be after dark.
Here's some miscellaneous parts of the game that don't really have to do with
actual gameplay, but can answer common questions from the boards.
                               {17.1} Opinions
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
My opinions about this game. It's true that HM64(actually, all of the HM
series) don't have an actual path that you must absolutely take. You don't
have to go for the perfect game; you can get the least amount of villagers in
your game possible, you can try to obtain maximum amount of money by fishing,
or arrange rocks to look like words. I just made the FAQ according to what I
like to do, unlock everything possible in the game and watching every event
that can happen.
I didn't include an event section just so you can find out all the events
yourself. That, and I don't remember some of them. :P I find that it's more
fun to find events that you think nobody else has found it yet, and keep it
to yourself as something you can remember about playing the game. Events are
cool to watch.
Many people seem to ask who the best person to marry is. I think that it is
either Ann or Karen. These two are not only pretty trophy wives, they have
interesting things to say and go out often to visit their family. Popuri is
slightly more boring since she doesn't go anywhere and have that many events,
but she does say many different things. Alone, she has about 4 different
things to say when about to sleep! Maria can be interesting to see only
because she does the most unique tasks, and some things happen since she can
no longer look after the Library. Elli is just boring. Don't marry Elli :P
HM64 has a ton of glitches. I love this HM solely for that purpose. Many of
these glitches are harmless and are interesting to see. Invisible horses, dog
on the top of your tub, and walking into pitch black space are just some of
the interesting things to see about this game.
Well, that ends my long rant and talk about my opinions. Next section please
;D
                               {17.2} Secrets
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
As mentioned before, this game has ton of little quirks and glitches, most of
which are harmless. Here's a big list of what I know:
1. Free Betting
---------------
At the horse and dog race festivals, you can bet on the animals as long as you
are not racing. Each betting ticket is 50g. If you want the Awesome House or
New Stable, that can come out to quite a bit. However, there is a way to bet
for free!
Bet all of your money on every horse. Now, instead of pressing OK, press B to
exit out of the screen. Your bets will still be there, but you would have
payed no money!
2. Annoying Dry Rain
--------------------
This is an annoying glitch. When it is raining and you have a harvest, when
you pick up a crop the space will turn from wet back to dry, and you'll have
to water those crops if they are renewable. Can't reverse this sadly.
3. Raining Sun
--------------
It will never rain on a festival day. Whenever the weather says it will rain
on the festival day, the next day will be sunny, but all of your crops will
still be watered.
4. Who's the Liar? It's the Buyer!
----------------------------------
The buyer says he won't ship things on festival days. That is true to a point,
he won't come at 5pm, but everything you shipped will still be added to your
total amount of Gold.
5. Cool Lighting Effect
-----------------------
When it's about to turn dark,(around 5:50pm) take out an item and stand still.
Your item's lighting wouldn't have changed, so it'll look like it's glowing
in the dark. It'll change back if you put it in your rucksack or move to a
different screen.
6. Music Box
------------
The most useful item in the game. On your farm, go to the very right edge.
Now use your hoe to dig 11 spaces down. Now turn left and on the third space
from the right, use the hoe to till the soil ten times. You will get a broken
music box. Befriend Rick and talk to him to have it fixed. This music box will
raise any ineligible girl's affection towards you a lot, and it can only 7
days to raise her heart level giving this to her every day. You can find an
infinite amount of music boxed, but sometimes they disappear. Reset the game
to make it reappear. Hmm, a glitch in a secret. Interesting.
7. Karen's Fetish
-----------------
It is possible to raise Karen's heart level to pink in just one day, any time
of the year. Just show her your dog many, many, many times. Her heart level
will keep increasing. This only works with Karen.
8. Invisible Dog
----------------
This is a VERY dangerous glitch. Just to let you know. Once you have the
bathroom extension, bring your dog and put him on the southern side, right
next to the black space. He will walk straight into the dark spot and
disappear. You can call him, but he won't come. Ever. Again. This also works
on the western wall of the bar.
9. Invisible Horse
------------------
To get an invisible horse, ride on it until 5:59AM. When it becomes 6, the day
restarts and you are back in your house, only you are riding an invisible
horse! You can jump off and call it again and ride it, but only inside the
house. THIS GLITCH IS HARMFUL. You CANNNOT get it back outside, so don't save
unless you don't care about your horse.
10. Invisible Baby
------------------
Can we get more invisible things? Well, once you have a baby, bring it to your
bathroom. Place it down right in front of the door of the bathtub, then open
the door. (This may take a few tries.) You should pick up your baby while
going through the door at the same time. When you come out, you will be
holding nothing! To make your baby visible again, just exit the bathroom or
put it down.
11. Invisible You
-----------------
To make yourself invisible, go to the springs once they are built. Open the
door at 5:59. When you wake up the next morning, you'll be invisible! This
glitch is IRREVERSABLE, meaning you'll never be the same again after you do
it, so don't save!
12. Dog Spying on You
---------------------
Do the same thing with the invisible baby, except with your dog(or someone
else's dog *COUGH*...) Your dog will be above your bathtub! To get it off,
when you're outside the tub press A near the door, but not so you open it.
Call your dog first to make it easier.
13. Moonwalking
---------------
You can do this any time. On the fork outside your farm, go up the path
towards the Vineyard. But instead of walking there, go straight up. Sometimes,
you'll be able to walk straight into the dark space. Keep walking. Make a left
to go to East Flower Bud, right to get to the Vineyard. Or, you can walk back
and take a trample on the trees.
14. Full Moon Berry
-------------------
Between the 10th and the 12th, you can get a Full Moon Berry. Just go to the
resturaunt. Outside, press A in the tress nearby. You should pick up the
berry. It doesn't do much selling for only 500g and no one really loving it,
but it's cool to have. You can get it every day between the 10-12.
15. Unlimited Drinks
--------------------
The bottle can serve more of a purpose than drinking the Potion Master's
expensive drinks. Use it on a cow for milk. Use it on the pool near the
chicken coop or the pool in the Greenhouse for water. Use it in the basement
of the cellar at the Vineyard(the two brown things, not the bottles) for wine!
16. Tree Climbing
-----------------
There is only one tree in the Carpenter's section of Moon Mountain. By
pressing A, you can climb it. You will be able to reach the summit of Moon
Mountain before the bridge is built!
17. The Secret Room
-------------------
In the cave at Moon Mountain, there is one Harvest Sprite. If you press A on
the walls behind him, you can access a room with two more Harvest Sprites.
They all act as one character though.
18. The Kappa/Water Imp
-----------------------
You know the pool in Moon Mountain right next to the fisherman's tent? If you
throw a small or medium sized fish into the pool, this...creature will pop out
and give you a special Blue Power Berry, which supposedly lets you work
without getting sick in the rain, although I still have.
19. Talking to the Goddess
--------------------------
There is one place in Moon Mountain where the song is absolutely different.
Here, there is a small pond. Stand on the bridge and throw a crop, milk, wool,
or an egg and the Goddess will pop out on sunny days between 9am and 5pm. You
can wish for 3 things. There is no proof whether these actually come true, but
you never know.
20. Nap
-------
If you don't press any buttons for a while, your character will go into a
quick slumber. This doesn't increase the amount of energy that you have
though.
21. No TV
---------
After midnight, you won't be able to watch TV. You'll just get a bunch of
snow.
22. No Music
------------
If you pause the game at exactly 6pm, there will be no music. Just cancel it
and the night music will begin.
23. Trick Question
------------------
If you marry a girl on her birthday, go into your kitchen that night. Your
wife will ask a question. There are two answers to this; it's either her
birthday or your anniversary. I think she'll get pissed if you answer your
anniversary though, even though it is! I haven't actually done this myself, I
was told by a kind contributor.
                                 {17.3} FAQ
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Q: I can't do everything in your walkthrough! That's impossible!
A: It's not. This is based off of everything I did. You just have to cut down
on some luxuries like cake and flower seeds. Conserve your time as much as
possible.
Q: Do you really not get a horse after the first Spring?
A: Yes. I tested that one day when I was bored.
Q: My dog won't win the Dog Race!
A: I don't know if it's based on how long your dog runs or how many times you
whistle. Just whistle once in a while and always feed your dog. Bring it
inside when it rains, and your dog should win the race. It doesn't take much
at all.
Q: I can't win the horse race!
A: It's OK, it's pretty hard at first. Use the betting glitch to buy a
sustaining carrot. Next time the horse race comes up, spend a whole day or
two just running your horse. Then at your race, press A after the crowd starts
cheering. Mash A to get to the finish line. There you go, you win!
Q: Does the photo album 2 really exist?
A: No. I have been fooled by that before, but it does NOT exist. How can I
prove it? Go find one screenshot of it.
Q: Can you have a girl baby?
A: No. Not in this game.
Q: I have a girl at a red heart, how come I don't have the Blue Feather yet?
A: You also must have a kitchen. If you have that too, well, then I'm at a
loss. Sorry.
Q: Cliff/Karen left my game! How do I get them back?
A: Sorry, but you can't. If you're lucky, Cliff may come back, but Karen's
gone forever. Next time, make better friends with them.
Q: How many save files can you have in one game?
A: Four.
