Experience

The Rookie Showcase is the first chance you will have to earn experience for your player. From here-on, every single game that you play in will contribute towards your experience in nba 2k13. The way it works is as follows: You begin each game with a solid C rating. At the end of the game, all your statistics, such as pass and shot accuracy, positioning, and performing strong defensive maneuvers, are all tallied up and you are given another grading. Whether it is better or worse than the C depends entirely on your performance.

TIP: There are a few solid techniques to getting a good rating and earning plenty of experience in each match. If you can perform lots of interceptions and collect as many rebounds as you can, you will get a ton of points.

The better you do, the more VC (virtual currency) you will earn.

At half-time during the Rookie Showcase you will see whereabouts your stock is in the draft. Depending on this, you are able to change your playstyle and focus on any areas that you want to improve in the second half.
