One of the sixteen Stages found within the game is New Metro City - Crossroads. After being themselves infected by the Sigma Virus in Story Mode, the heroes are sent into a frenzy to complete their ultimate Mission. So they decide to divide and conquer, with the remaining heroes being sent to stall Ultron Sigma. But before they can do that, they must first defeat the Minions and Drones that Ultron Sigma sends to New Metro City in an attempt to finish them off.
