Introduction

This is the first game ever to feature Mario and Sonic, it's essentially a agme based on the bejing 08 olympics which pits 16 characters from the mario and sonic games against each other in 9 different sports. This game is a great party game which is really good fun to play with friends, also the circuit and mission modes are great fun if your a solo gamer

Graphics

The graphics are really crisp and has nice little feaatures such as cream from sonic and toad from Mario as the judges it also has great un screen instructions and in swimming a shyguy which runs along the side of the pool indicating the world record speed, the stadiums also look great.

Sound

The music gets a bit wearing and repetetive and for some reason you can only play the music you unlock playing mini games in the gallery and not during any other time (I don't know why) The in event sounds such as the crowd cheering are decent and you can even get them to shout more by clapping with the wii mote and nunchuk!

Gameplay

The gameplays good in most events and has realistic controls for the evnt your doing, the actions are simple and easy to learn, in the aquatics events each swimmer has a diferent technique and I think the game would be better if all the sports were like this. But they do get a bit repetitive the games do however get the most out of the wii mote, the gallery mode which allows you to unlock music and olymipic trivia is pretty poor though

Lastability

The circuit mode which is basically where you do 3,4, or 5 events one after another is good and is really the main bulk of the game , as you complete more ciricuits you unlock new events and, you guessed it more circuits!! There is also a mission mode which buts the characters attributes to the tests! Beating Sonic with Mario is really hard! Each charcter has a set of missions set for them to complete these could be anything: beating a rival, throwing the javelin between 30m and 50m jumping perfectly from the long foul line, The finally section of the game is gallery mode and this doesn't rally add much to the game.

Overall

Overall I think this game is a good outing for Mario and Sonic but isn't completely polished enough to be a complete classic I look forward to the release of the DS Version of this game which is released in 2008 to see what that it's self has to offer.
