Mario Kart 8 was released after long anticipation for the game. The new anti-gravity feature, the return of bikes, so many things made Mario Kart 8 seem like a fantastic game. When released, it certainly didn't disappoint. The graphics, sound, lastability & overall gameplay make Mario Kart 8 a fantastic game. With many modes on & offline, it certainly made it's mark for Nintendo.
The graphics in Mario Kart are just splendid. With beautiful backgrounds in the tracks, with so much small detail, the graphics really wowed me. By far the best graphics in any Mario Kart game feature in this game, with 720p graphics. Nintendo did a fantastic job with Mario Kart 8's graphics & visual appearance, & it part of why I keep coming back for more Mario Kart 8.
The sound in Mario Kart 8 is fantastic. For the first time ever, every track has it's own music, & retro tracks have altered music, creating a large variety of soundtracks in the game. The soundtracks were all live-recorded, showing just how dedicated Nintendo were to making their soundtracks as good as they can. To me, these soundtracks for the tracks, the soundtracks in the different modes & in various other places are great, & make the racing experience even more enjoyable.
The gameplay in Mario Kart 8 is really fun, & very enjoyable. Whether you race offline against the computer players, race against yourself or a ghost racer, have fun battles, or whether you are online enjoying racing against people from around the world, the gameplay experience never ends. If offline ever gets boring, you can go online & challenge yourself against highly-skilled racers, & see how you match up against them. Without this awesome gameplay, Mario Kart 8 wouldn't be the game it is today.
The lastability in Mario Kart 8 is quite good, however at times it can get a bit repetitive, doing the same thing over & over again; racing & battling. Most of the time, I don't mind racing over & over again, but sometimes it can be too repetitive. The lastibility isn't too bad, but it could be improved on with some more modes.
Overall, Mario Kart 8 deserves a 8/10 rating from me. The gameplay experience can never end thanks to online play, & with the recent addition of DLC, new & exciting tracks await the racer! I would highly recommend you buy Mario Kart 8 if you have not yet, as it is one of the Wii U's best games yet; offering now 40 speed-spinning tracks, 33 racing-eager characters, & many karts, bikes, wheels & gliders to choose from.
