In Left Alive a Wanzer is a human-controlled mech that has thick armour. The name 'Wanzer' is derived from the German word wanderpanzer; wander for 'walking', and panzer for 'armour'. In 2127 Wanzers are popular weapons in military operations as they combine high versatility and operational capability. There are three Wanzer types in Left Alive (Volk, Zenith, and Zilani).
Volk (VOLK)
The VOLK was secretly produced in Novoslava and is an experimental machine installed with next generation standard-armaments which makes it a formidable and capable mech.
Zenith HW 2
The second generation in the HW series this mech was designed to be the world standard. It has a stronger roller dash than the first generation model and is popular with armies and mercenaries from the different countries who use them in their respective campaigns.
Zilani P3
A vast majority of these mechs are deployed in Zaftra and neighboring countries. Due to the top of the body being flat these mechs are usually found with various armaments the infantry have installed. The legs of the Zilani P3 are designed to lower the body and reduce its surface area when firing heavy shoulder or chest-mounted weaponry.
Wanzers tend to be equipped with versatile machine guns and shotguns. You will be able to steal a downed mech’s armaments. Some mechs also have proximity weapons which can be stolen.
Most Wanzers equip Rockets and Missile Launchers to their shoulder mounts. When on a mission Wanzers will not be able to change their shoulder-mounted weaponry.
Although Wanzers are capable of moving at high speeds they are not really suited for walking. They are able to move at high speeds by using 'roller dash'. If a Wanzer collides with an enemy Mech during a roller dash, they perform a tackle attack.
The 'step' is a maneuver which enables mechs to move a short distance instantaneously to fend off enemy attacks.
