In Left Alive you will encounter different types of enemies and each of them needs to be dealt with differently. Below is a list of all the enemies along with their behaviours and how to counter them.
Infantry have normal soldier weapons and body armour, they are the most common type of enemy you will encounter in the game. They can be easily defeated but become a problem when they call for reinforcements when they discover you. Either use your weapons to quickly kill them or if you want to save resources take the stealth approach and set traps using the electric shock wire. Check out our How to Easily Defeat Enemy Soldiers to get some tips on how to quickly eliminate infantry.
You will find these machines on the ground and air and they will attack you as soon as they find you. On their own a single Battle Drone will not do much damage but failing to deal with it immediately will attract a group of them and they will deal heavy damage. Battle Drones can be dealt with using your basic weapons but it is recommended that you use Auto Turret as these gadgets can be deployed anywhere in battle and will continue attacking a Battle Drones until it is destroyed. You can deploy multiple Auto Turret's during battle.
Tanks patrol a specific area and although they are slow they will deal massive damage so whenever possible it is advised that you avoid them which can be easily done by observing their movement. You will find however that there will be scenarios where you will have no alternative but to defeat them to progress. You will need to use explosives, like the IED Landmine and RC Mine as ammo based weapons such as pistols and shotguns will be useless against them. These weapons can be crafted by collecting the necessary components. Check out out Weapons List page to see what components are needed.
Wanzer's are giant mech machines that are the most powerful foe you will encounter in the game. They are also the most difficult to deal with. Ammo based weapons are useless against the thick armour of a Wanzer, it does however have weak points which can be exploited using explosive weapons. The weak points of a Wanzer are its head, elbows, and knees which you must keep hitting with explosives until it stops moving.
