Hey, everybody, I'm going to be reviewing Rockstar's latest hit, L.A. Noire! Please bare with me, because my opinions may differ from yours. L.A. Noire is about recently discharged WWII serviceman Cole Phelps, struggling to find truth in a City of corruption, hate, and greed. Will Cole Phelps survive this City of Angels, or will he become it's next victim?
Wow, the graphics are great, Rockstar is using technology barely seen before in the gaming world, facial motion-capture. It gives the characters a sense of realism, and awesomeness! I think Rockstar revolutionized graphics with this game! Soon all the cool kids will be using facial motion-capture! Well done, Rockstar!
Then only real bad thing about cars in the 40's? No radio. The game does have some oldies music which is good at times, but after a while, it becomes rather tedious, but the voice acting is great, which saved the sound from getting a lower score. The gunshot sounds are correct and, again, gives a sense of realism!
Yeah, Yeah, I know, why such a low score? Well, the game is great, but after playing the game for a few days, it becomes boring, doing the same thing. The only real thing that kept me going was wanting to find out what happens in the end. Doing the same thing for 20+ cases gets old really fast! But the game itself is good.
This game'll stick with you for a while, but after beating it once, it will collect dust at the bottom of your game shelf, until you find the need to solve a mystery you already know the answer to, the extras, like finding mystery vehicles and golden reels can only last so long, so take your time and enjoy this game!
I liked this game, it was realistic, fun, and serious, but it gets old, most games do, but not this fast. I have a lot of respect for he developers, but even the extras can become frustrating. No cool online play like COD or Halo, but this game will stick with me, at least until Rockstar releases it's next big hit!
