Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is a prequel game for Kingdom Hearts II, playable on the Nintendo DS. It covers all of Roxas's time in Organization XIII, and from his "birth" as a Nobody. It also covers a new character-Xion-to the already vast cast of Kingdom Hearts characters. We will see how this game did in three sections-Graphics, Sounds, Gameplay, and Lastability.
The cutscene graphics were about the same as the original Kingdom Hearts, and that is VERY impressive for the DS, a system not known for it's graphics. Outside of the cutscenes, the graphics were average, at best.
They were a bit better than the average DS game, so they did impress me a bit, but it was the cutscene graphics that really impressed me. Overall, I give these graphics a overall, eight out of ten.
The sound was good, it was impressive, and it really reminded me of the Kingdom Hearts series. The combat noise was as good as ever, and it really drew me in, and that is good.
The sound quality was good, I enjoyed that part. The music, though, I thought was outstanding. Kingdom Hearts has a reputation for good game music, and this game did not disappoint in that area.
Overall, I give it a eight out of ten.
The gameplay had two main types-Mission Mode and Story Mode. You could unlock characters and missions by finding Mission Emblems in Story Mode. So the more you put into levels in story mode, the more you got out of Mission mode, and therefore, the game.
There was also a new feature-Panels. You earned panels through completing levels, and buying them at the Moogle Store. They affected your weapons, stats, magic abilities, and equipment.
Overall, I give it a nine out of ten.
This game will not last long at all. With two new titles out for the series, this game will die fast. It is fun, but with lots of good titles due out and other Kingdom Hearts titles out recently, this game won't survive very long at all.
I have to give this game a six out of ten, because it won't be able to survive.
Overall, I give this game a eight out of ten. It was good and fun, it was very well done, but I won't be playing it for long because of the new titles due out.
It was well done, props to Square Enix and H.A.N.D, but it doesn't have what it takes to survive long at all.
