It is important that you pay attention to how the wind is blowing as it tends to shift with each turn and can if strong enough change the direction of your projectiles. To keep track of how the wind is blowing you need to look at the meter under the teams' 'Hit Points' and keep an eye on the 'Swoosh' lines that appear on the screen telling you what direction the wind is blowing.
