Question for The Sims 3 Ambitions
How do you gain skill levels in parenting? To get a promotion I need to gain a skill level in parenting. However, I don't know how to gain a skill level. Any advice?

First you need to make a baby with your partner.
If you have a baby, then you can gain skills in parenting.
Ok, so to gain skills in parenting you just need to play with your child heaps and heaps. And then slowly your skill level will go up.

If all your sims need are green and your in a very happy mood then you should be able to adopt a baby on your wall phone it might take a while for the baby to come

If you click on you spouse it gives you options you have to click flirt or hot smooch a couple of times then it would say try for baby

you can either adopt a baby using the wall phone or you can click try for baby with your spouse after smooching a few times. to try for a baby all of your needs have to be up and to adopt you must have atleast 2 of your needs up so you can qualify

To get a skill in parenting skill you get marked to whoohoo or adopt a baby or go to a house with a couple look around for the baby

To gain a skill level in parenting, all you have to do is achieve the maximum relationship status with your partner which is spouse. Make sure all your sim's needs are met (green bars). Click on your partner and click "try for baby" option. It may or may not work the 1st time you try. Just keep trying! Once your baby arrives, just play with your baby ALOT and it shouldn't take long for your skill level to begin increasing. Hope this helped and best of luck!!

if you aren't in a relationship with anyone, just go to someone's house (who has a baby), then jus feed, entertain, and cuddle it until the blue bar above your sim fills to the top.

You can also adopt or babysit or go to work at a preschool

You have to create a career in teaching by either clicking on the computer and clivking on find a job or going to the recruitment agency. After this you will always have to be in work on time and do not rob otherwise you will lose your job. After this you will get promoted and keep getting promoted.
