Question for The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I have people asking to be my friend and when I click accept it keeps telling me that an unexpected error has occurred. It will not let me accept any friend requests. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

You can have a maximum of 100 friends.

Im guessing you're only allowed 100 friends with or with out The Simpsons game. I had deleted all the people that didn't have the Simpsons and added the pending request got 100 friends and it wont let me add the other pending. Do hope they upgrade to have more friends.
