Why won't my iPad update minecraft
When I click the update button it takes me to my minecraft instead of updating it

If you are having trouble getting your copy of MineCraft to update on your Ipad there are few suggestions you can try:
1. Restart Your device
This is probably one of the most popular pieces of technical advice you will get and it does solve a lot of problems. Try reboot your ipad to see if it clears the problem of Monecraft not updating.
2. Try to Update Via the App Store
Click on the icon in App Store to see details about the new version. There may be an update button that works for you there.
3. Reinstall
If all else fails you may need to consider a re-installation. If you have purchased the game from the App Store then you will be eligible to re-download it from there if you remove it from your device. And if you cannot get the game to run or update, then you may need to take this route. Remove MineCraft from your Ipad then go to the App Store and reinstall it.

This is happening to my cousin and we were going play minecraft quick build, I'm suggesting to delete the app please don't leave straight awayđź‘Źđź‘Ź Or another solution would be to call or email Mojang and see whats up.

1.12.0 was just the newest update. I wish I could have my roses... I miss them so much! If you want the newest update, but you cant upload the update, well either your iPad is too old, or it doesn't have service. My problem with my iPad 2 is that it is too old, but I can text on it.

I was having same problem. I did a search as per previous comments. Clicked on the icon in App Store to see details about the new version. Inside it had an update button that worked.

If your friend has squid, then go to options and put up the difficulty level and go to creative mode. I have vshare, I got it for free. You need to shut down the iPad and then wake it up again. Sometime you should delete the vshare app and download it again. It will let you het the latest version.

Well, You wont be really to update your Minecraft if you did not download it in the app store or play store. If you downloaded it from other sites like Vshare, well you shall check and wait it their for the update.
