You can't get villagers to follow you. You can try to push them around like an idiot.

It depends on where you want to take them if a long distance it might take to long but if a short distance it won't take that long it is easy make a rollercoaster with walls around it that way no other villagers will get in the way there is it all sorted?

You could make a path of rails to the place that you want them to go, then push them into the minecart, then push the minecart. (this requires a lot of pushing!)

You can't make him follow you ALL the time but this might help. When it is either night or raining, destroy all the doors and place another with a block in front. The villagers will swarm. Destroy it and make another nearby. Keep on doing this until you get to your house or place where you want to keep them and push them in. Remember villagers CAN open doors...

Build a railway road and push the villager in the cart, it will suffer but you can move it around.
