You need a hoe for this so be prepared. Oh and it is quite messy to, I wouldn't do this near water if I where you.
You need to till the ground with your hoe until you come across green spots. They are seeds. Now go up to a chicken and hold your finger down on it. Red love hearts will pop out of it!
Thats how you feed/breed/tame chickens but you need two seeds and two chickens for breeding so look it up on the internet.
