How do you put stuff in the chests in creative?

You cannot open chests in creative mode

I've tried everything in the newest update. I don't go on survival because I have nothing. They need to make it able to were you can put things in chest, then chest, Crafting tables and all that is just useless.

I don't think chests can be used in Creative. In the 9.5 or 9.6 or 10.0 update chests and Crafting tables should be able to use.

That means on the Xbox you can craft stuff on creative mode

You can't because you don't have to. You already have everything.

YES YOU CAN STUFF IN YOU CRATIVE WORLD I JUST DID IT!! I ADD FLINT AND STEEL IN MY CHEST(I'm a mapmaker) and it's simple you only need to do some tings
1. Download for free MCPE Mods from google play the icon is like a... Those things in the mechanics like a tire with spikes where a wheel spins..
2 download block launcher after that from Google play for free
3When you open MCPE mods search for a mod named a lot of stuff / Items or something like that
4. Install the mod and press aply to block launcher or aprove etc.
Open block launcher pres the wrench and then press manage modPE scripts turn it on and enable the mod too many Items press on it
Then start your creative wirld from block launcher place a chest you will notice a M in de down right corner of the screen press it presa creative to switch to survival and then add stuff to your inventory you will find it there put the Items inside and switch to creative again and it's done! It's perfect for mapmakers like me no need to thank me!

Yes you can! It may take a while but you need the app BlockLauncher and mods for too many Items and gamemode switching. You give yourself items in survival after you place the chest. I did this on a Skyblock

Just use a hopper and delete the hopper when you're done.

That's stupid.
So in order to make a map that has treasure chests with treasure it them I have to build it in creative & then switch to survival & go searching around for HOURS or even DAYS just to find all the gold & diamonds & other Items that I want to put in them?
What if I want to supply my person with iron armor & an iron sword? I get to go searching for supplies for those too?
That's really stupid. No wonder a lot of the user created maps are lacking in depth. It's enough to make me switch back to block story or survivalcraft. I don't remember having this problem with survivalcraft & it's just as good, if not better, than minecraft in so many other ways.

In creative mode, it is impossible to put things in a chest. You have to be in survival. I know, it stinks.
