Question for Minecraft: Pocket Edition

Ok, my brother says that it is possible to change a world from creative mode to survival mode and have everything still there, if this is possible can someone tell me how? Please!

For android PocketInvEditor and for iapple devices IMCPEEdit. I think you get it from cydia
