You have to make a 'flint and steel' which consist of iron and flint. Then you set your TNT down. Hold the flint and steel and touch it to the wick on the TNT an stand back and it will explode

Though in pocket edition- you can't. I have tried but it doesn't work. It is a possibility there will be and update with flint and steel but for now it's not a possibility.
