You have to purchase the great white first and once your great white is leveled up then you can get the megalondon
You have to buy the GW ($35000 or 740 gems) then Max it up. It is not obligatory to Max it up but fi you don't do that you Will have to pay it 900 gems but if you Max it up you Will have to pay it $50000
The same is happening to me, and my great white is leveled up all the way
I think you have to find some kind of fossil to be able to buy the mega. THE GW IS COMPULSARY THOUGH!
