Energy is regenerated by waiting, or, use items and rewards you have under inventory to add more energy I.e. Coffee, juice, etc. Some inventory items have other features as well, so read what it offers. Also energy is awarded when you assemble items under collections. You can buy items with crystals that you earn or purchase with your hard earned REAL money.

Find a collection item you would like to request from your friends,
Tap the blue People icon below that collection item,
Tap the avatar of the friend you would like to request this gift from,
Tap 'Send Request'.

You can use the cash to turn off features like fog, photo mode ect

If you use a regular flashlight it will show you two items instead of one. I think it's a stupid power up.
