Here is my review of Guitar hero 3: legends of rock it is a great improvement on the original but sticks to the basic Guitar hero shell we all know and love.
While we hope for improvements, we don't want the game to change completely and I think that Guitar hero 3: legends of rock has delivered perfectly.
The graphics are a great improvement on the Guitar hero 1 and 2. However I found a few things unsatisfying i.e. The singers chin is larger than before and everyone seems to have grown beards. Other than this it has the look and feel of previous Guitar heroes.
The sound is great, sounds exactly like the original songs. Deleviring classics that you may or may not know and new songs that we all loved in the charts, it has a perfect balance of the right rocking music from around the globe. Featuring classics from the U.S., U.K., Germany and more.
Features the usual great gameplay that Guitar hero players are used to. Featuring a new mode "Battle" where you battle other guitar heroes and make them look like guitar zeros. Featuring Tom Morello of Rage against the machine and Audioslave and Slash of Guns and roses and Velvet Revolver.
This game can be played and played and played because it makes you eager to improve on your previous efforts. The game modes make it easier to progress in stages. Starting out on easy, using three buttons you make your way through the songs slowly getting better until you progress up to 4 buttons on medium. Then 5 buttons on hard and then doing virtually everything you are now capable of on EXPERT!!!
Overall score of 8 because of the suitability for it's market and delivery of exactly what is expected from the product.
One improvement that could be made is being able to "jam" and do what you want like recording your own song.
