Farm the Rift Dungeon for Resources

The Rift Dungeon is a feature in Guardian Tales that becomes unlocked once you have cleared stages 1-4 in the main story. This is an important part of the game, as you will be able to farm the Rift Dungeon for resources and materials. Early in the game, the Rift Dungeon will be your main source for getting diamonds, mostly as a first clear reward for the various dungeons. Below is a list of the three dungeons within the Rift Dungeon and the resources you can get from each of them.

Resource Dungeons

These dungeons are a good source to farm gold and experience crystals. Early in the game however you will get more crystals and gold from clearing the main story stages, so it is recommended that you clear them once for the first clear bonus you get from each of them and spend your time farming resources and materials in the other dungeons. Rewards vary depending on the dungeon's level and clear time.

Evolution Dungeons

In order to perform a hero evolution, you will require hero shards, and these are the dungeons where you can acquire them. Each of the Evolution dungeons must be tackled differently. Fire and Light requires you to use only one hero to clear or enter a stage, Earth and Fire requires you to use skills to deal damage to enemies, and Water and Dark requires you to deal a certain amount of damage to an enemy for it to be considered a damage click. Your hero will need to go through four total evolutions, and each consecutive evolution will require more hero shards than the previous one.

Awakening Dungeons

In these dungeons, you can get awakening materials to unlock awakening nodes for your characters. There are four types of these nodes - Attack, Defense, HP, and Special. You can also obtain Dreamstones here which you need to unlock Special nodes, these though are difficult to farm because although the dungeons are open all the time they are calender-based events that only become available once a week.
