Introduction

Gears of War is a third person shooter, publiseh by Epic Games. You are put in control of Marcus Fenix, a ex- soldier who must help save the world when it is attacked by aliens lead by General Raam.

Graphics

The graphics are one of the highlights of this game. They are definitely next generation. You will not find bettr graphics anywhere. Also the cutsenes are done very well. The character movements look great and this game might have the best scene ever, when you chainsaw an aliens head off.

Sound

I really didn't notice the sound very much when I played through it. The character voices are pretty good though and I love the sound of a chainsaw kicking up. The sound does make this game seem a little bit creepier though so I guess they get the job done.

Gameplay

The gameplay is very good. The camera functions perfectly. The shooting mechanic is very good, and the ability to take cover adds much depth to this game. I didn't give gameplay a 10 though because taking cover was made to simple in my opinion( all you do is press a single button)

Lastability

First of all it needs to be noted that if you don't have x-box live the lastability is around 5/10 as this game can be quickly completed in a matter of hours. But if you do have x-box live you will most likely be spending hundreds of hours playing this game.

Overall

If you have x-box live this game is without a doubt a 10/10. If not I would give it about an 8/10. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is very innovative and the online mode rivals Halo 2's. If you own an x-box 360 you simply must buy this game. Trust me, you won't be dissappointed.
