Ok I have been racing this guy at Lon Lon Ranch and he wins everytime...

Ok when you first start out try and stay on the inside of the track. Also make sure you monitor your "carrots" at the top of the screen. Dont use all of them right away, space out the time when you use one so you will make sure you use the "boost" completley before wasting another. Good luck it takes some practice but you'll get it!

Here's my advice:

- Get ahead of him as soon as you can, it's harder for him to pass you if he's behind you.
- Stay as close as you can to the inside of the track, in the end it's faster and less distance.
- Never use of your carrots, when you get down to one wait until they all come back, it's faster than using them all and waiting for them to come back.
- Don't use your carrots too fast, pace yourself and use them when Epona slows down.

Ok this is a hard one. It is all about skill. You have to stay to the right get in front of him and stay there. To make it more clear on what to do:

Get in front of his horse and stay there. Once he starts to get away use a carrot. Once you can see the white line start using the carrots rapidly.

Epona is the only horse that can beat the ranch guy. All the others are too slow. So make sure it is Epona you are using.
The easiest way to beat him is use a carrot or two right when the race starts and make sure that the other guy doesn't get in front of you. But if he does then turn sharp at the turns because he turns kind of wide giving you a path to get beside him then ahead of him. Just use about three or four carrots at a time and wait for one or two to recharge before using another one. Once you are ahead you can even have the ranch guy push you if you are directly in front of him. Just be sure to move if he moves while pushing you.
