How do I beat the first gannandorf with no magic?? And I can't leave the room to go get more. HELP!

Dude first when he is on a horse and is about to attack shoot him with a arrow do this three times to kill his horse then when he throws a magic ball deflect it by hitting it with your sword then use your arrow while he down from getting attacted from his own attack then to shoot at him if you run out of arrows use your sword

Jump down the pit to the floor below. There are dozens of pots. Just run back up when you get your fill.
