Question for Tales of Symphonia

I'm stuck at Toize Valley Mine, I have no clue how to get passed the Bacura, (Or the spinning cube of death in my opinion) Could someone help please? I love this this game and really want to know what happens next! Please and thank you for the help.

Make it come at you from where the boulder comes down then get out of the way from the boulder and it will smash the bacura. Also if you go down where the bacura was crushed you'll find a shadow weapon.

First make it run after you then use the big bolder that runs down the hill or when the bolder falls off the spot put the spinning thing there so the boulder can break it
