Question for Super Smash Bros. Melee

Ok, so I went to my Uncle's house, and he had two nephews who had the same game Super Smash Bros. Melee. They told me that to unlock Yoshi's past stage was to beat events with certain people. I don't think that's correct. If it is correct, tell me. If it isn't, tell me how! Thanks!

That is false. The only way to get Yoshi's past stage is to get over 1300 feet in the home run contest with Yoshi.

PS: If you get at least 1000ft with anyone, you get the sandbag trophy!

game_mario answered:

Just hit 1,300 feet in the HRC. If you can't do it with Yoshi, try this fairly easy method with Ganondorf.

At the start, grab the bat and dash up to Sandbag. Do you up smash and then jump and hit down+a. When you land, use your smash once again and then wait a while and meteor him again.

Quickly homerun him. You should get at least 1,500 on your first try.

P.S. I didn't use that method for Ganondorf and that is not my record either.

You have to hit Sandbag 400 metres (1300 feet) or more int he Home Run Contest. I used Roy for this challenge. It's pretty simple, use his A^ attack three times on Sandbag and then use his Fire Blade (B) move.
