To unlock the old yoshi stage, go to the home run contest. Hit over 1314 feet and you will unlock it. Also, when you unlock the stage, Yoshi's shield will become an egg.

P.S. You can not play as Toad, Sonic, and Tails. You can't unlock Metal Mario but you can make Metal Mario by Selecting Mario and use the green box that makes your character made of metal.

To get the Yoshi's past stage, get 1,300 or something like that.

No, there is no possible way even with AR codes for Sonic, Toad, Tails, or Metal Mario!

All the other people said how to get the Yoshi stage. I'm just telling you something else. You can't get any of the characters you said, but if you would like to be Metal Mario temporarily, listen to these instructions.
1. Choose Mario as your character. 2. With the Item Switch thing where you can put items in or not in each game played, to make it easier, just select only the Metal Box. If you don't have the Item Switch thing, then just wait for a Metal Box to appear.
3. When the Metal Box appears this is your chance; get the box, and voila! Ye are Metal Mario(temporarily). Happy now?

1. You need to hit over 300 metres on the Home-Run contest. I recommend you use DK.
2. No you can't get them, not even with an Action Replay.

You get Yoshi's stage after you hit the sand bag 1,323 yards. Its realy easy just have yoshi pick up the bat, jump and use smash down A, and when the timeer hits one say good by to Mr. Sand bag.

No you can't get Sonic or Tails people only say that to make it sound like thay are better then you but you can get metal Mario just have him hit the metal box. ;)

Hit the sand bag 1300ft and no you can't get sonic,tails and toad but you can get mario to turn in to metal.
