Question for Super Smash Bros. Melee

Once again I am asking another question:

What is an Action Replay Disc?
How much does it cost?
What exactly does it do?
Is it worth buying?
How many games can you use it for?
How do you use it? Basically I just want to know everything about it since i'm interested in getting one.

Oh and can you answer the same questions above for a Game Shark Code Disc?

An action replay disc unlocks and does things that you cannot do so without.

It costs only around £20 in the UK but I'm not entirely sure about the USA or elsewhere.
It can do many good things like unlock characters, give infinate health and so on.
Yes it is worth buying.

You can use it for every game on Gamecube but you have to add new games when a new one comes out.
It's easy to use it.

Action Replay is better than Gameshark so there's no need for you to know about those.

PheonixFlame2 answered:

A gameshark is the same as the action replay except its for playstation and GBA and its made by different people

PS. Gameshark doesn't suck especially the new broadband enabled one.

Rayku answered:

Yes as most people say the AR is powerful it may mess up your system though, no this has never happened to me but to other people yes.

I have been using Ar on my PS2 for almost a year you could try it, but hey it happens at certain times when your not prepared....you should get it but don't use it too much.

log answered:

An AR disk is a disk that you put in your gc and put in codes for games. it can unlock extra secrets that are impossible to unlock without it or another cheat of some sort.

Somewhere around 20-30-40$

It puts in cheats that can unlock stuff that could or couldn't be done without the AR.

As many games that are on it. I also am pretty sure you can add new games onto it.

You use it buy putting in cheats for a game then playing the game. Simple really.

I alredy put in an answer so I just wanted to say that everything I said applies for both systems.

Darktrainer06 answered:

Okay, here's everything you need to know abaout the Action Replay:

1) An Action Replay disc is a disk that has information about unauthorized video game cheats.

2) It costs about $20-$30.

3) It enables unauthorized cheats that affect gameplay in the game that you are using it on.

4) Yes, it is a must have.

5) I have no idea. There are a lot of video games you can use it for.

6) Insert the disc in the Gamecube and put the Action Replay Memory card (the one that comes with the Action Replay) in the second Gamecube memory card slot and turn on the Gamecube. Then volia! You are at the Action Replay Screen. Now go to something (I haven't used mine for a while) and choose either the U.S. flag, the European flag, or the Japanese flag and click on the game you want, then click on the codes you want to use. It will tell you what to do from there.

And no I can't. Sorry.

P.S. You can only use the Action Replay Memory card that comes with it. :,(
