Is there a faster way to get Mewto without leaving game on all night?

Not really. When you do leave it on, make sure to be in a level that does not change or attack (example hyrule temple), take off items and make sure it's set on survival with one life, not time battle. Also, you need two controllers and you must make the battle a one on one melee. Make sure one of the characters is one you're actually good with as you'll have to beat mewtwo after finishing the fight to unlock him.
Dont worry about it. Just keep playing and you will eventually get him. I got him in two days.
