Simple. Unlock all twenty-five characters. You don't really have to do anything else. In doing so, you'll also unlock all Events up to Event 50 if you have cleared the required amount. Just an additional note.

Actually, you must unlock all characters, along with beating Classic and Adventure mode with them. Since you need to do that to unlock Mr. Game and Watch, all you have left to do is beat Classic and Adventure with him as well.

Unlock all bonus fighters to unlock the single player All-Star mode. This mode allows you to fight all game characters, but with less health items.

Unlock every secret character there is (Dr. Mario, Falco, Luigi, Young Link, Ganondorf, Roy, Marth, Mewtwo, Mr. Game and Watch, Jigglypuff, and Pichu, I think). Then complete Classic and Adventure Mode with all characters. Then you will unlock All-Star Mode.

These are the 11 Hidden Characters: Jigglypuff, Dr. Mario, Pichu, Falco, Marth, Young Link, Ganondorf, Mewtwo, Luigi, Roy, Mr. Game & Watch - once you have them all, you'll be able to play All-Star Mode.
