I have cleaned the shine gate and gotten the shine sprite.
The only problem is I can't reach the shine sprite above the shine gate.
Please help !

What you need to do is get the rocket nozzle and get to the top of the gate where the entrance to Pianta Village is, and rocket up to grab the shine.
It might take a few trys.
It might help if you look up with the Mario Vision and see where it is.
You need to get 30 shine sprites and then at the plaza dark mario (aka bowser jr).
He will turn up with the rocket nozzle so beat him get the nozzle and blast on top of the shine gate, then blast up again and get the sun sprite.

Ok if your talking about the big tower use the rocket nozzel under it. This might take a few tries.
All you have to do is either use a rocket nozzle or you can simply use yoshi's spin jump which goes as high as when you use the rocket nozzle
