sheiny answered:

Try sliding your thumb back and forth across the A-button instead of constantly pressing it - if you do this right, you'll end up pressing it more often!

Archimonde answered:

Take your pointer fingers, (the ones next to your thumbs) and repeatedly hit the A button alternating them. Take the rest of your hands off the controller and just concentrate on that one button using those two fingers. If you can do it right, it goes at least 3 times faster than pressing the A button with just one thumb.

topaz1588 answered:

What really helps is using a round utensil, like a spoon or something, and rubbing it quickly side to side.

starfox89 answered:

Get a controller with the turbo feature
Then hold down the A button and turbo then let go of both and now when you just hold down a it will be rapid fire so you just have to hold A

ZeldaFan17 answered:

Lay the controller on a flat surface and press the a button at a very fast speed
