I placed the teeth in the statues, but when the path lowered, there was an iron gate blocking my way. Is that supposed to happen? Is there some order to when I place the teeth?

Its fine.You only completed the first part.You need the second tooth to open the iron gate.Find all the Earth Walker soldiers.Beside them will be trees.Look in the trees to find switches to hit with the flame shooter.Hit all of them and a ring will appear in the stream.Go through the ring to start a challenge race.Complete it to get the second tooth.Hoped I helped,rate please.
