Question for Star Fox Adventures

Where are the alpine roots that you need on dark ice mines to fee the mammoth so he can guide you through the main gate.

Someone please help

The SnowHorn/mammoth tells you about Tricky's Flame Command and he also asks for some food.

Now that Tricky has Flame, head back to the cabin area and have him melt the ice on the cabin blocked by ice. Head inside and have him also use it on the firewood to melt the ice. Drop down, take care of the Snipluk and melt the ice wall. Have Tricky Find near the patch of dirt and get the Alpine Root.

Head back out and back to where the SnowHorn/mammoth is. Don't feed him yet, there's one more Alpine Root to get. Drop down into the trench with the rolling rocks. Go up the trench in the direction the rocks are coming from and eventually there's an ice wall. Flame it down and use Find to get the second Alpine Root.

Head back out of the trench to the SnowHorn/mammoth and give him the Alpine Roots. He asks you to hop on his back. Climb up the nearby ladder and press A to hop on him. Move him to the gates and knock them down.
