how do you get a silver chao?

you need 3 objects to get a gold/silver chao.
1)Sonic DX (directors cut) and
2)a gc/gba cable
3)a game boy
when you start dx you atomatically get the silver and gold in the garden all you have to do is move them from dx to your game boy then your game boy to your sonic a2b.
i think theres an easier way but i cant think right now

What you need is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Sonic Advance, a GBA-GCN link cable and a GBA.
First using the GBA complete levels until you have collected more than 500 rings for silver of 1000 rings for gold. Then press Start, select, A and B to go back to the menu. Go to tiny chao garden and open the shop, if a gold/silver egg is there buy it, if not do a level, and then go back to tiny chao garden. When you have your egg you can't hatch it in tiny chao garden if you already have a chao there. So put the egg on Sonic Adventure 2 Battle via the link cable then hatch it.

You should be able to get a silver chao at 100 plus emblems. For a gold you typically need about 160 or higher. although you could also you the gba cord and gba game as said previously.

without trading,u must have 180 emlems to be able to buy both of them

The only way i know is on sonic adventure.You look in the pond and you find a silver egg bobbing around. you don't need XD or any thing like that to do this.You don't need to pay for the egg.

The best way is to mate a Green and a Translucent Green and it makes a gold chao.

You need the gba system and the game sonic advance 2.after completing the game you have a tiny chao gardan.there are games you can play to buy eggs.500 rings for a silver egg.1,000 rings for a gold egg it doesn't take that long.
