Shadow City Escape

How do I get to play with shadow (or one of the other characters) in City Escape?

You can't. Each level is for that character only, unless you are playing on challenge mode, but then it's not part of the plot.

You can only play in each level as the character who was in it in Story Mode. So the only way you'll ever play as anyone but Sonic in City Escape would be in two-player mode.

Play best 2/3 ending in city escape then do shadows chao key glitch

It is not possible except with two options.
1.)Play Two-Player Mode at City Escape with Shadow as either player.
2.)Use an Action Replay for the Nintendo Gamecube, and get the code for it.

To play as shadow press y(2)b,x(2),a then push start do this all in the stage radical highway then push exit and do this all in city escape.

This is not possible legit unless you cheat or use a mod to change the look of sonic. The only close way to do this is to play 2 player mode and verse each other by choosing the blue shoes then, selecting your character then, selecting downtown (level 1 section)
